The castle of Montrésor, property of the Branicki family, offers a beautiful panorama on one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France.

From its rocky pedestal, the castle of Montrésor dominates the village. Its construction began in 1005 by order of Foulques Nerra, Count of Anjou. A Renaissance castle of which only the main wing remains. Since 1849, it has been the property of the Branicki family. Beautifully decorated and furnished interior, with works of art and a magnificent mahogany spiral staircase. It also offers a beautiful view of one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France and a romantic park. A second visit dedicated to "Poland in the castle of Montrésor" is possible on reservation.

Un castello che non rientra tra quelli utilizzati dai re di Francia ma che merita senz'altro una visita. All'ingresso viene fornita una guida esaustiva in italiano dove potete scoprire i tesori delle varie sale a seguito del restauro opera di Xavier Braniki. Tutto molto curato e ben conservato e se avrete la fortuna di incontrare Costantino, uno dei discendenti di Xavier, potrete farci raccontare qualche aneddoto curioso da chi ha fatto la guida per oltre vent'anni!
Vale veramente la pena visitarlo!

Très belle visite dans ce château dont l'ameublement fait revivre toutes ces pièces.
La visite du village donne l'impression de retourner dans le passé.

Je suis très déçue car il n’était pas précisé que l’on pouvez visiter que la moitié du château car il était habité.
Durée de la visite : environ 25 min
L’intérieur était bien meublé, mais sans plus . Les jardins sont petits. Ils manquaient de fleurs pour le printemps. Le château manquait également de panneaux pour la visite.
