The Fortress of Montbazon welcomes you all summer long! On the program: discover its medieval history, which was marked by great names such as Foulque III Nerra, thanks to a one-hour dramatized and costumed tour. You can also try your hand at medieval crafts, and take home your own creations from certain workshops (pottery, basketry, calligraphy...). An essential part of France's feudal heritage, the Black Hawk fortress stands proudly on a steep mound overlooking the Indre River and the town of Montbazon. Thanks to the efforts of the Valeur Plus group (and formerly the Atterton couple), it is the oldest surviving feudal complex in France. Construction is estimated to have begun between 991 and 996, marking the beginning of fortified castles in France. Today, visitors can experience the medieval atmosphere of the castle through its trades, costumes and customs. Come and experience the Middle Ages, every day: over twenty-five costumed entertainers take you back to the Middle Ages, with their craft trades and knightly combat that will amaze the whole family. Numerous workshops await you, from exhibitions of war machines to crossbow initiation stands... A great family outing to discover the town's rich past and the customs of yesteryear. Een geanimeerde toer in de kerker wordt ook aangeboden.
De katapult is echt spectaculair.
Wij waren er op een avond met een banquette.
Eten en drank in thema met bijpassende muziek. Tussendoor een knap gevecht gezien van ridders. Afgesloten met fakkeltocht in het kasteel.
