Beautiful building in the heart of Chinon with clean, decorated and refined rooms. A perfect welcome

A little corner of paradise in the heart of the beautiful city of Chinon. This place is full of charm, with its antique materials and refined decor. This beautiful building, with its exposed stonework and beams, is perfect for lovers of the old world. You'll feel as if you're in a cocoon in the six rooms on offer. All are clean and spacious enough to make you feel at home, with TV and wifi. We also like the large living room for relaxing, and the inner courtyard. Maurice will be happy to show you around the region and the city's secrets.

This has to be one of the best B&Bs in Chinon. We have stayed here on several occasions and are never disappointed. The building is wonderful, the rooms are decorated and furnished to a very high standard, the breakfast is outstanding with plenty of choice and you couldn't wish for a better host than Maurice.

Maurice nous accueille dans sa magnifique demeure décorée de façon subtile et raffinée. Je conseille vivement cette chambre d’hôte au coeur de la cité médiévale de Chinon pour une ou plusieurs nuitées avec un petit déjeuner d’exception. Merci au maître des lieux !

Juist omdat het allemaal zo persoonlijk is (je moet wel wat Frans verstaan ????) maakt gastheer Maurice het verblijf zo aangenaam. De kamer was super verzorgd en in stijl van het gehele historische pand. De badkamer is modern passend in het geheel en van alle comfort voorzien. Door het lokale tekort aan water ???? wel verantwoord omgaan met water en dus niet gebruik maken van het typische en mooie Franse bad.
En dat je de hond mee mag nemen is helemaal fantastisch! Die heeft op z’n eigen bedje ook vorstelijk geslapen ????.

We had such a lovely time at Au Relais Saint Maurice in Chinon. Maurice was super welcoming and made us feel at home right away. The room was big, very clean, and really comfortable. Breakfast was amazing every morning – and he even made gluten-free crêpes, which were seriously delicious.

It was also great that we could park for free with a card he arranged for us, and we could easily charge our electric car nearby.

All in all, a great place to stay. We truly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it – and happily come back! ????
