Restaurant offering a simple and traditional cuisine, from local products.

You can sit on a terrace on the cobblestones of the rue Voltaire and the perpendicular alley that goes down to the Vienne river or in one of the rooms on the first floor of a historic brick house. The name of the restaurant comes from its façade which alternates brick and half-timbering. Traditional dishes of the region are served here, well presented and tasty. The service is really charming and attentive. The address is well known, so it is better to reserve your table, especially during the tourist season. The same house has a guest house on the second floor.

Située juste en dessous de la forteresse et à quelques pas de sa porte, c'est la rue tranquille idéale pour déjeuner après avoir visité l'attraction principale. Cuisine française typique, bon vin local, service sympathique qui parlait même anglais. C'était agréable de s'asseoir sur une table posée sur les pavés à l'extérieur et de s'imprégner de l'atmosphère de la ville.

Juste EXCELLENT!!!!! Particulièrement la brique au boudin noir poire tapée, un régal! Un service efficace et parfaitement rythmé pour un dîner ni bâclé, ni qui s étire en longueur qu on n en peut plus après une journée de visite de châteaux....tables en terrasse sur rue piétonne au pied d une superbe maison à colombages. Qualité prix 100% On aimerait avoir ça chez nous.....
