At the edge of Chinon, on the Tours - Les Sables-d'Olonne line, this station was inaugurated in 1887. The old line that used to connect Richelieu has been transformed into a greenway. Leaving Chinon station, the train crosses the Vienne river by a viaduct in the direction of Les Sables-d'Olonne. In this station, you will find an automatic ticket office (blue) for the purchase of your regional transport tickets of the TER Rémi network.
