Fortified ramparts of the city of Domme: three doors, including the remarkable Porte des Tours, and a path along the cliffs.

Of the remarkable site of Domme which was heavily fortified, there remain important vestiges of ramparts, retained by the Mission Patrimoine of Stéphane Bern for restoration. There are three fortified gates, the most important of which, the Porte des Tours, is remarkable. Don't hesitate to take the cliff path westward to the public garden, beyond which you will discover an 18th century windmill that replaced an older castle, and the remains of another castle, the Château du Roy (not open to the public), which is undergoing archaeological excavations.
