Completed only in 1513, the North Arrow gives its full scope to the building, reaching 112 metres in the sky. And you can visit this steeple, as long as you are brave. For you need to climb up to 300 steps to enjoy a breathtaking view of Chartres and its surroundings. Open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 12.30pm (last visit at 12pm) and from 2pm to 6pm (last visit at 5.30pm); Sunday from 2pm to 6pm (last visit at 5.30pm). Closed in the event of bad weather. Free for under 18-year-olds. Adult: €7. From 18 to 25 years old young people: €4.50, or free for the citizens of the European Union, on presentation of an ID. Free for all first Sunday of each month, the 01/11 to the 31/05.

Originality

After a sporty climb, a breathtaking view of the surrounding region. As the cathedral stands on the only hill in the area, the plain is dominated. The eye bears far in fine weather.
