ASSOCIATION DES AMIS DES JUMELAGES DE CHARTRES

Ravenna (Italy), Chichester (England), Speyer (Germany), Bethlehem (Palestine), Evora (Portugal), León (Spain), Sakurai (Japan), Cusco (Peru): these cities are linked to Chartres either by a twinning agreement or a friendship pact. The Amis des Jumelages association, which regularly organizes cultural events and exchanges, also runs language courses for adults, to encourage them to open up to other countries and cultures. English, of course, tops the list in terms of time slots offered, and there really is something for every level. German, Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Russian are also taught, for beginners as well as the more experienced. Most courses take place in the evenings, at the rate of one hour per week, but there are also a few slots during the day. So if you'd like to learn a foreign language from A to Z, or if you'd like to brush up on your language skills (schoolboy memories unfortunately fade with time...), don't hesitate to sign up for these courses... and good luck!
