ASSOCIATION SPIRITEK
This association, registered by the CAARUD (Reception Centre and Accompaniment to the Reduction of Drug users), has been opened since 1996 in the city of Lille. Professionals and volunteers make interventions on prevention in school, in festivals and in the evenings of the metropolis and the entire region, using breathalyser and flyers. In collaboration with the Belgian Quality Nights labelling program, the association is committed to promoting safer festive areas with drugs. A number of places in the middle of the night are now certified «Quality Nights» (for clubs) or «Quality Bar» (available for free and visible water, condoms, ignition and ear caps at reduced prices, training of staff at first aid). Spiritek's action does not stop there: in addition to prevention, volunteers also welcome drug users for listening and exchange of equipment. A shower and laundry area is also available within the premises.
