Regional cuisine and northern beer in a restaurant with a terrace and breathtaking views, in the heart of Old Lille
An elegant estaminet located in the heart of Old Lille with a façade in the most beautiful Flemish style. The regional cuisine is highlighted in a rather limited but varied menu. Potjevleesh (made from meat or fish) is served with a cone of fresh chips, just like shrimp croquettes, a recipe from the Belgian coastal cuisine. A wide range of northern beers is also available to enhance meals. Finally, the terrace offers an impressive view of the garden of the Hospice Comtesse. The ideal place for those who wish to stop for a culinary break during their visit to the oldest district of the capital of Flanders.

A beautiful setting. Risotto was, but not to fall on the floor. for a 24€ risotto and 5 saint Jacques that remains expensive nevertheless. We could not eat inside an evening (because restaurant not air... lol).

J’arrive à 13h30 et demande à déjeuner. Il y a de l’attente, 20 minutes. Pas de problème je patiente, avec deux enfants.
Après 30 minutes d’attente, on m’installe. Durant ses 30 minutes, je passe la commande, de sorte à ce que les enfants ne meurent pas de faim.
Assis depuis 25 minutes, je demande où sont nos plats, la serveuse m’indique, que je ne suis assise que depuis 8 minutes.
Je demande à mes voisins de table, je cite « beaucoup plus que cela ».
Quelques minutes plus tard, je demande à nouveau à la serveuse, qui me tutoyant, m’indique je suis une cliente « bizarre ».
Discrimination je ne sais guère, en attendant je souhaite récupérer mon écharpe louis Vuitton grise, étant partie dans la précipitation et sous le choc d’une serveuse si gentille auparavant et devenue d’une agressivité soudaine, que je ne supporte pas par ailleurs
On ne paie pas pour être traité ainsi, enfin je ne crois pas. Depuis 5 ans, le service a énormément changé.
Aucune circonstance atténuante pour ce genre d’attitude.
