CARNAVALS SICILIENS

Carnival is held in February or March all over the island. The oldest and most impressive is held in Termini Imerese. The streets of the town come alive with music and decorated floats. The most original is held in Acireale. This carnival has very ancient origins. At the time, orange battles were organized, but they were abolished because of the damage caused. Over the years, the parade has become more beautiful, the floats more and more sumptuous. We can also mention for its magnificence the carnival of Sciacca.
