Getting around by train Connecticut

The Amtrak company is the American equivalent of the SNCF, minus the monopoly. It is the main operator of destinations to the rest of the United States. The train is rarely the fastest, cheapest or most convenient solution, but offers a picturesque and comfortable way to travel. The network connects the country's largest metropolitan areas with many smaller cities. From New Haven Station, there are numerous daily trains to Boston (South Station). The journey takes about 2 hours.
