Sunday River Golf Club is a semi-private golf club located in the town of Newry, Oxford County, in the western mountains of Maine. Designed by golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. it features an 18-hole course that winds through the Maine woods, offering dramatic elevation changes in a magnificent mountain setting. The sailboat can accommodate up to 6 passengers during the day and 4 passengers in sleeper mode. If you don't have the sea legs, you can always wait for your mosses at the guest house run by his wife.

This family company offers a range of outdoor activities. You can opt for a rafting session on category 3 (family) to 5 (sport) rapids from the end of May to the end of September; a canoe or kayak outing on a nearby lake (transfer included); but also go on a canoe trip and enjoy observing the elks, the emblematic animal of the region, either at daybreak or in the afternoon in high season. This will certainly be your best chance to spot an elk during your stay, as the animal is elusive!
