Two floors are devoted to the regional arts where the exhibitions are presented in thematic, cultural or political form. They are always very varied and offer paintings, sculptures, masks and sacred objects. Compared to other ethnic museums, it presents both traditional and ancient works as well as contemporary works. The museum shop sells various crafts and crafts in relation to the current expo.

The museum also offers guided and self-guided tours, as well as virtual tours for school and community groups. The museum has a checkroom and strollers are allowed, although access may be limited in some exhibitions. Photography is permitted in the galleries, unless otherwise indicated. The museum is wheelchair accessible, with wheelchairs available free of charge from the checkroom.

GENESEE COUNTRY VILLAGE AND MUSEUM
Read moreThis is a reproduction of a 19th century village, with 68 period buildings that have been restored. Most of them have been moved here from other villages in New York State. We walk freely between cottages, colonial houses, shops, the church or the opera house. It is possible to enter some buildings. You will meet characters in period costumes chatting, going to the farm or brewery, and will be able to chat with them. The buildings are grouped chronologically: the oldest is a cottage from 1797, the most recent is the Opera House, built in 1884. A visit that will please the whole family. Don't miss the Nature Center, which includes hectares of forest and six hiking trails.

To see, works by Picasso, George Braque, Frida Kahlo, but also Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol and Arshile Gorky. Don't miss Anselm Kiefer's Die Milchstrasse, a large canvas that is not clear whether it represents the galaxy or a desolate battlefield. Free guided tours are offered from Thursday to Sunday at 1:30 pm. Additional visits every Saturday at 3:30 pm, and on the first Friday of the month at 4:30 pm.
