It is said that the sanctuary was built on an ancient temple dedicated to the goddess Minerve. It was rebuilt in 1770. In front of the sanctuary is a column that marks the end of the aqueduct of Puglia. This grandiose book, 244 km long, gives to the land and the men of the region.
