The ideal address to eat on the go, in a pleasant setting, in the heart of the historic centre, and for really cheap. The team has imported the piadina from Emilia Romagna, a culinary speciality consisting of a thin round cake made from wheat flour and lard or olive oil, salt and water, which is topped with fresh and tasty products, prepared and (sometimes) grilled in front of you. We loved the piadina with freshly cooked aubergines, with its drizzle of olive oil, but also the vegan kebab. To discover without fail!

A pastry shop and a bar, which defines itself as the temple of sweets of Foggia. In a décor full of charm, it attracts a large clientele, rather young and intelligent. The offer is vast, from classic cornetti to doughnuts, brioches and pies. You can taste the famous setteveli of Foggia, a cake composed of seven layers (sette veli means "seven veils") alternating cocoa biscuit, fondant chocolate mousse, Bavarian hazelnut cream, etc. It is perfect for an aperitif accompanied by appetizers.

A small bar to eat on the thumb. It offers a multitude of light, salty or sweet dishes, pastries and ice cream (excellent!). Here, moreover, the products are gluten free.

Enjoy a cup of coffee or a cold drink on the terrace, as well as cocktails and sushi.

Located in the city center, right next to the Hotel President, this hotel with terrace will allow you to eat on the thumb a great deal of lasagna, served warmly. Ideal for a break in the new city, before going back to shopping.

Under the porticoes of Piazza Maria Immacolata, with its harmonious semi-oval shape, there is a small shop that sells the cheeses and capocollo of its production. You can sit at one of the few tables in the shade of the arcades for a quick lunch, and enjoy an assortment of their good products on plastic plates, accompanied by bread, a few olives and taralli. Or opt for a warm panino generously topped with capocollo and stracciatella : a treat! And at a very reasonable price.

Without a doubt the best pucceria in Otranto... in Salento, some would say! Just a few steps from the castle, this little place offers delicious pucce (puccia in the singular), these small round breads typical of southern Puglia and which, generously filled with local ingredients, constitute a hearty and truly tasty lunch. You will have to choose between the pucce di mare (the one with octopus is excellent) and the pucce di terra (filled with stracciatella, cold cuts, grilled vegetables). A few craft beers to accompany it all.

An institution in Lecce, proudly carried by its owner Giuseppe Giannone who represents the^3rd generation. Puccia salentina is a round bread similar to bagnat bread: here it is homemade and baked on stone, then generously garnished with quality regional products. Our favorite puccia is the Pugliese, with burrata, capocollo and thin slices of zucchini, all drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. A treat for a gourmet lunch break.
