In the middle of the vineyards, the Beaujolais golf course is an 18-hole course of 6 100^m2 located in Lucenay. The course is accessible to everyone, despite some rather technical parts. There is a covered driving range and a grass practice area, as well as a 5-hole "compact" course. For beginners, a discovery formula allows a first approach of this sport on a magnificent course. A comfortable club-house is also available with its restaurant Le Trou en Un.

The regulars of the place are unanimous, this mini-golf does not take a wrinkle. From spring to fall, we love to walk through the 18 holes armed with a club, with family or friends. The trees here are blessed by the gods when you know how much the sun of the lake's shores can plague some days! A mountain golf course opened in 1934 at the foot of the Mont-Blanc massif. In the village of Les Praz, 3 km from Chamonix, the 18-hole golf course, spread over a 6-kilometre course, enjoys a magnificent natural environment, wooded and almost flat, with no fairways or road crossings, broken only by the Arve River, which causes daring players to lose a few balls... Hole 17 offers a view of Mont Blanc and the serac cascade of the Bossons glacier. The chic clubhouse is remarkable for its log-cabin-style construction.

Why not swap the beaches for the peaks and try a golf course in the mountains? In Savoie, the Tignes golf course offers an exceptional setting at an altitude of 2,100 meters, with breathtaking views of Lac de Tignes and the Grande Motte glacier. Nicknamed the "marmot course", it offers a playful challenge with its numerous burrows along the fairways. What's more, the Tignes golf course features a unique aerial competition, where golfers have to take their ball over 420 meters to reach the green 270 meters above the course.

Fresh air on the first heights of the Belledonne massif for golfing in a magnificent setting. Just a few kilometers from Grenoble, this 9-hole course was built in the former grounds of the Château d'Uriage. A 12-hectare course in an exceptional natural environment, with long approaches and fairways. In addition to the course, the driving range features some twenty stations, 7 of which are covered. Individual and group lessons to discover or master your shots. The restaurant features a lovely terrace and home-cooked cuisine.

Created in 1904, the course, slightly hilly, is located between lake and mountain. The majestic trees of various species, combined with water hazards and white sand bunkers, make it a very pleasant course to the eye but very technical. Particularly noteworthy is hole 10, a long par 5 of 525 meters with a slight dog-leg right, difficult because of its slope and a green with several plateaus whose attack is blind. Hole n° 15 is a magnificent par 3 of 149 meters, very spectacular with a plunging view on the lake of Geneva.

Golf des Volcans is located in the very heart of the Chaîne des Puys mountain range. It welcomes all lovers of the little white ball for a round or a practice session. Choose from 18-hole, 9-hole or 6-hole courses. The driving range offers 40 positions and there are four putting greens and bunkers. Beginners can obtain a Green Card and take part in free introductory lessons every Sunday from 3 to 5 pm. The golf course also has a clubhouse and a pro-shop for perfecting your equipment.

Located in the south of the Rhône department - we are no longer in the Metropolis -, at Saint-Symphorien-d'Ozon, the Lyon-Verger golf course was created in 1977 on an orchard from which it has kept some trees. This Lyon-Verger golf course, playable all year round, offers two fairly narrow courses, playable all year round: "Le Verger" (18 holes - Par 70 - 5,502 m) is undulating with greens well defended by judiciously placed bunkers. "Le Pré9" (9 holes - Par 33) is a technical course with two ponds, requiring you to work on your short game.

Next to the Loisirs leisure Park, the Golf course in Bourg-en-Bressse offers two courses: a six holes ideal for an initiation or perfect game and a nine progressive hole in the difficulty. School of Golf and Shop completes the offer, while the restaurant offers at all times frozen cooked dishes, frozen desserts and ice cream, in summer, compound salads, fried steaks, etc.

Opened in 1990, the Golf de la Sorelle has been taken over in 2014 by a new team enchanted by the place. And how could you fail to fall for this dreamlike setting in Dombes only 40 minutes away from Lyon town centre: the green course where water (what with Dombes and all) is present; history and heritage which are also present with the 13th Century Chateau de Richemont opposite the first hole and; one of the last poypes (local fortified castle) of Ain at the 12th hole. It is a splendid hilly and woody course of 18 holes par 72 (5 777 metres) accessible to as many people as possible. In some way, it is a "high class" golf in a rural area where each player can take his time to play (great gaming comfort) at his own pace to be really happy. The players also like around the golf a quality restaurant which forms part of the Golfy network (see our section Viree gourmandes in Restaurants): it offers a lovely setting and the possibility to organise meetings and seminars in well equipped rooms.In brief, the Golf de la Sorelle is all the delights of golf, whatever your level (lessons, training, initiations) together with the delights of the restaurant and those of a stay in the wild - 3-star hotel of 7 rooms on the Estate. At the gateway to Lyon - 15 minutes from the city center, easy access - and close to Bron airport and Eurexpo, the Blue Green Grand Lyon Chassieu golf course offers an astonishing green setting in the metropolitan area. An 18-hole course (par 70, 5,900 m), with high rough and greens defended by deep bunkers. Long holes to be approached with caution! High-quality clubhouse and restaurant, open daily for lunch, popular with golfers and visitors alike.

The 9-hole course (par 36 of 2,930 m) was designed by the architect Hugues Lambert in 1992. Located at an altitude of 1,780 m, the course was designed on 45 hectares of alpine pastures and forests, on a plateau with a moderate difference in level. Of modest length, it includes some bunkers and water obstacles. Note the magnificent views of the surrounding mountains, which can be a source of distraction and slow play in season. Fast food in the club house and pro shop.

Long considered an elitist activity, golf is now accessible to all. The golfer must, thanks to his club, send his ball into the hole in a minimum of shots. This practice requires a lot of courtesy: self-arbitration, concentration, respect for the field and others... This outdoor activity, which does not require violent physical effort, allows you to escape for the duration of a game. Depending on your time, level and expectations, you can take the 18-hole course or opt for very professional courses to discover or improve your skills. Located on the crest of the Chavannes plateau, in the heart of the Chablais Geopark, the 18-hole course spreads out evenly and flatly between fir trees, maples and birches. This summit situation offering magnificent landscapes is enough to break the concentration. On hole 4, you can see the nearby Lake Geneva region. On hole 5, two water obstacles where deer come to quench their thirst. At hole 14, you can see the Mont Blanc. Relaxation at the golf restaurant. This eco-golf course was the first in France to receive environmental certification.

If the name has changed to better situate this exceptional golf course in the Alps, between Lake Annecy and Mont-Blanc, the setting remains as majestic as ever. Two courses: The Belvedere, 18 holes par 72 of 5,820 m, is hilly in the upper part with a splendid view. Then focus on the lower and technical part of the course, in the middle of oaks, beeches and poplars. The Eau Morte river is waiting for you, especially at hole 17. It is here that the moment of truth for the end of the course takes place. Les Castors, a 9-hole par 33 course of 2,215 m, completes this equipment. The club-house is located in an old coppersmith's workshop built in 1804.

South of Clermont, this golf course is the latest addition to the Auvergne family. Run with a smile by a friendly team, it features an eighteen-hole compact course, a covered and floodlit driving range, a pro-shop and a restaurant open to all. The fast, technical and pleasant course runs alongside the river Auzon. Unlike most golf courses, which are particularly water-hungry and unconcerned about the environment, this one stands out for its self-sufficiency in terms of water requirements. It uses equipment with low_CO2 emissions.

Just 5 km from Montélimar, Golf de la Valdaine reveals its course from the freeway. This gently undulating course features 9 wooded holes and 9 more open ones. There are a few water holes, including 9, a long 365 m dog-leg par 4 on the right, which requires a good first shot to avoid the pond on the right. In the heart of a hilly area, the golf course winds through woods and fields, along streams and bodies of water. Renowned for its environment, but also for its golfing quality, the course offers 9 holes over 3,045 m (par 36) with a wide variety of difficulties where all golf shots are represented. Club house, bar, restaurant, changing rooms, pro-shop... The only public golf course in the region, managed by the Communauté d'Agglomération Porte de l'Isère.
