Founded in 1981, the Orchestre National d'Auvergne has toured extensively in France and around the world, and has recorded more than 30 albums while faithfully assuring the classical music scene of Clermont-Ferrand and Auvergne. Today, this chamber orchestra is composed of more than twenty French and foreign musicians. Since 2021, Thomas Zehetmair is the principal conductor. Surrounded by an international artistic direction, he pursues this spirit of openness, approaching the baroque period as well as contemporary creations. It's a pleasure!

This is an unusual place: here you can also enjoy independent authors and publishers and "writers'teas" - blends of specially worked flavours, such as the tea of Russian writers (where the vodka aroma blends with sweet orange and grapefruit flavours) or tea from Japanese writers (based on green tea and cherry and masquari aromas). On the first floor, Mots'art of Words offers a space for temporary (monthly) art exhibitions; the second floor is reserved for a permanent exhibition (year) of singular art, presenting works by artists painters, sculptors… Every first Saturday of the month, the bookshop organizes an opening to present the temporary exhibition.

The municipal theatre is the symbol of Émile Loubet's golden age. Theatre à la'in neoclassical style, its orientation to the Mistral, outside the walls of the city, and its interior layout had been greatly criticized at the time - 1882 to 1885. After decades of good and loyal services, which have become unfit to receive from the public, this theatre that received the greatest artists of its time is currently closed to the public, at booth by waiting for renovation. But it always marks the urban landscape.

The chapel of the Carmelites, a former hospice renovated by the city, was for a decade the place of residence of the Théâtre du Fust, an international puppet company that recently left Montélimar, (after more than thirty years of presence!) to continue its destiny in Ardèche. This friendly cinema is showcasing works by filmmakers from all over the world - in V.O. subtitled, except French! - and organizes debates, meetings, exhibitions. Smart will reveal a secret... For 400 years, the secret of the manufacture of the Chartreuse has been carefully guarded by the monks. This unique liqueur is available in two colours, green and yellow, both suitable for making the best cocktails. The secret? It was the creation in the Caves of the Chartreuse de Voiron, where the end of production at Aiguenoire freed up space and a speakeasy bar. A beautiful idea of cinema, not far from the city of the Light Brothers, which is given by this association of a hundred volunteers living a cinema hall like Smart loves them. Attention, this renovated room has a large 211 seats, its Dolby Digital Suround EX sound, a magnetic loop for the hearing impaired, etc. Besides the big films of the moment, the interest of this room is also in its «alternative» programming with each week, different short films in the first part of the film and the famous CHAT sessions (yesterday Cinema)., from Today and Always), one Tuesday a month, with films in VO. The cinema in Paradiso version as you love it.

A 383-seat auditorium and a 600 m 2 multipurpose hall make up the venue for concerts, cinemas and shows of large Parisian rooms on giant screen.

Terre de Jeux is a space that the city of Clermont has financed fully to promote games in all their forms. Located in the municipal area La Diode, between La Pardieu and Cézeaux, it is permanently managed by five associations: The House of Games, L 'Échiquiis Clermontois Arverne, Les Frères du Mystère, Némésis and Nolimit 63. These 1,200 m ² are designed for all lovers of games between 7 and 77 years old. During school holidays, sculpture, magic or drawing courses are also provided. The sites hope to become more national by organizing chess games, role plays, bridge or poker without money.

In Crest's pedestrian street, a "ludic hydration" area, i.e. a space run by volunteers dedicated to games, both on site and on loan. A place for exchange, conviviality and sharing. The café-game association was founded in 2008 with the aim of creating social links around playful moments. The bar is supplied with local products, often organic: fruit juices, local craft beers and fair-trade coffees. The store also offers entertainment and play services. 100% fun!

Ephemeral tapas restaurant-bar open only in summer, from mid-June to around mid-September. A short but intense period. Concerts and events follow one another in this large, shady courtyard just below the old village of Joyeuse. On the plate, inventive dishes with world flavors and more regional fare... We love the electric atmosphere, the waltz of the waiters, the music and the trendy bal musette. Reservations are essential: this is one of the best summer bars in the region, and it's a well-known fact!

At any hour of the day, the bells ring out for a gourmet break at Paccard, the famous bell foundry on the shores of Lake Annecy. Close to the foundry and the museum, the tearoom offers gourmet treats all day long. And it all starts with breakfast, served with a dark or milk chocolate bell made by master chocolatier Gaël Jacob.
