Is it useful to introduce you to Fnac. It is the place for those who want to make sure they find the latest literary or musical innovations. If your happiness is not on the shelf, an order in store is always possible depending on stocks. Fnac extends over three levels: the ticket office at the entrance avoids queuing inside, books on the first floor, cd and dvd in the basement. Employees are fast but very busy, the difficulty is to catch one, but once the operation is successful, you may be surprised at their efficiency and knowledge of their products. Far from the privacy of record stores or small bookstores, the place answers all requests.

For the record, FNAC Grenoble will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024. Yes, it's been half a century that FNAC has been shining in the heart of Grenoble, selling, among other things, books. Ever since it opened, FNAC has had a well-stocked literary section in every style. Clearly defined thematic areas where you'll always find great discoveries on the displays. Well-being and personal development are always in vogue, but literature offers a choice of classics, as well as nuggets to be discovered on the booksellers' recommendations. LIBRAIRIE TISANERIE L’OIE BLEUE

The Blue Goose is first the idea of a city of Saint-Etienne who had the desire to live a rural bookstore. She is called Fabienne Lhopital and she is a graduate in bookstores. The library opened in 2005. It favours daily life works (gardening, well-being, kitchen…) but also works of regional history and works of youth literature. In all, there are almost two thousand available titles, which is quite exceptional for a village of this size. The companion of Fabienne is an author-illustrator for youth. He works on the first floor of the shop and his books are sold in the bookstore, as well as postcards specially designed for the shop. In addition to its bookshop, the hotel also organizes a lounge where you can find products from organic agriculture and fair trade, and the shop contains a gift corner where you can find a whole bunch of nice items to offer. Meetings and demonstrations around book and reading are also organised regularly in October with the Association Read in Celebration.

Decitre Confluence or the art and fashion of a tradition bookstore born over a century ago is continuously reinventing the bookstore in the 21st century in the heart of a futuristic neighbourhood. The first impression is that of a space where you can move freely, even with very young children, or to stroll in search of the rare pearl for hours… With well-spaced shelves extending over more than 1 000 m², this provides opportunities for all readers. Because if you can enter at Decitre as in another shop in the mall, everyone quickly gets caught up in the game and the unique pleasure of reading, the discovery amidst its wide alleys. Children are happy to have a dedicated space where they can have as much enjoying themselves as reading beautiful stories. Leisure and pleasure, two strong words of this library which has all the works we're looking for, from the last novel of the back to school period to the more specialized works especially comic, manga, humoristic book or beautiful art books to offer or to please yourself. At Decitre, the book can also be digitized with the numerical reading to test without moderation. The other feature of this library is its very complete stationery space and its "design and techno objects" space where you can find lots of gift ideas. At Confluence, in Lyon and elsewhere, Decitre remains the reference bookstore.

Would you like to visit Landru? No problem. The Jean Landru bookstore of rue Joseph-Vallot, facing the brewery l'M, offers a wide range of novels of all kinds, political tests and mountain books: Herzog, Rebuffat, Audibert, Frisian-Roche await you a firm spike. Books on mountaineering, hiking and trekking, BD, topographic maps, atlases, tales and legends or photos… Livres also, with portfolio trips across the mountains of Europe and elsewhere. Because we can be passionate about altitude and cosmopolitan, as long as: the sacred mountains of the Himalayas or the highlands of the Andes have their place on the Étagères shelves as well as the 4000 of the Alps. It is noted that in 2009 the bookshop obtained the label of independent bookstores (ITA) of the Ministry of Culture. It would ultimately be a crime not to stop there.

BLEUE COMME UNE ORANGE

General bookshop

The tone is set in the name of this bookstore! An expression from a poem by Paul Éluard, Bleue comme une Orange is a place where people love words. Located in the centre of La Talaudière, the bookstore, run by Gilbert Castellino, offers a wide choice of readings for young and old alike. The selection is based on a variety of backgrounds: novels, history books, stories, tourist guides, local books, poetry collections, police officers, cooking recipes, children's books, etc. The children's corner is dense. All authors have their place: great authors and award-winning writers rub shoulders with less famous writers, without distinction. Many animations and dedications are offered all year round.
