Media library New Aquitaine

A temporary exhibition room is also located here. Higher up, the spaces are ideal for reading and relaxing. In all, almost 200,000 books can be borrowed for an hour or a few weeks. Le Petit Futé invites you to settle down in one of the comfortable armchairs to read, of course, but also to enjoy an idyllic view of the channel and the towers. You can then walk back to the city center, or take the ferry to continue this moment of relaxation. Throughout the year, the media library offers a wide range of free events: readings, story times, film screenings, conferences... From Saturday July 8, the library will be undergoing a year-long energy-efficiency renovation. It will still be possible to borrow from other media libraries with the network card. From October 2, the media library will be present in the Arsenal building at its current opening hours, while the media bus will be parked on the media library forecourt until July 6, 2024.

The Médiathèque du Marsan was built in an emblematic sector of the city of Mont-de-Marsan, that of the Bosquet barracks and the 6th Parachute Regiment of the Marine Infantry. Exhibitions, conferences, workshops for young and old take place in this place of discovery of glass and steel with an absolutely remarkable architecture. A real centre of life, with a surface area of 989 m2, this media library offers from Tuesday to Saturday to the general public a collection of 2,224 printed documents, including: 1,000 in Spanish and 600 in Basque, audio documents with a collection of 3,800 CDs, including 700 of Basque music, book-cassettes (300), 59 videos and 35 CD-ROMs for consultation, newspapers, magazines (127 subscriptions), with library or discotheque rooms, with a total of 86 places. Activities with groups, schools, conferences, poetry evenings, exhibitions.

Located in the heart of the city, this media library welcomes young and old in a pleasant setting. With a well-stocked library of books, magazines and magazines, this media library, which is networked with those of Châtillon and Secondigny, provides very broad access to culture whatever your interests may be. The three levels of this library combine various books to count on some 21 000 titles, 50 periodicals, 4 000 discs and 400 cd-roms.
