Caving New Aquitaine

As its name suggests, the speleological and prehistoric company of Bordeux is piqua of speleology, but at the service of the knowledge of prehistory. Twenty-five people there are inscribed and meet every Thursday evening, from 21:00 to 23:00 plan their programme. Regions of privileged activities, the Gironde, obviously, pyrenees-atlantiques but also the Lot.

The Comité Départemental de Spéléologie des Deux-Sèvres (CDS 79) is an association of caving clubs in the Deux-Sèvres département. It represents two caving clubs, the Spit Club St Maixentais in St-Maixent-l'école and the Société Archéologique et Spéléologique du Mellois (SASM) in Melle. The CDS 79's main missions are to protect cave-dwelling fauna and the underground environment, coordinate speleologists in their exploration and clearing of caves in the département, conduct scientific research, promote and teach caving, and organize the Journées Nationales de la Spéléologie (National Caving Days) in the département.

This is a leisure center dedicated to caving. Caving in Corrèze is a popular activity in the region. There are also other resources available for caving enthusiasts in Corrèze, such as the Comité Départemental, Spéléo-Secours, local clubs, caves, equipment and techniques, the Collectif Nébélé, and cave diving photos.

Every first Wednesday of the month, the 45 members of the club meet to decide on their next outings, especially in the Pyrenees-Atlantic. The Leize Pelayo club practice as much as caving, hiking and climbing.

Sainte-Engrâce, in the Urdatx-Santa-Grazi region, is home to the Association pour la Recherche Spéléologique Internationale à la Pierre Saint-Martin (ARSIP). This association coordinates caving activities in the Pierre Saint-Martin - Larra karst region. Arudy, a town in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region, offers caving enthusiasts the chance to discover the region's underground wonders thanks to the Groupe Spéléologique de la Vallée d'Ossau. The club offers caving activities for all levels, supervised by experienced professionals. Enthusiasts can explore the region's caves and caverns, and discover unique underground landscapes. The Groupe Spéléologique de la Vallée d'Ossau also offers training courses for those wishing to perfect their caving skills.

The Évasion Pyrénéenne association is committed to protecting the environment. Founded in 1988, it is a registered Nature Protection and Jeunesse et Sports organization. Its main objective is environmental education, by raising public awareness of the need to discover and preserve nature. Through its activities, the association aims to improve everyday habits in favor of our natural heritage.

With 12 members in 2012, the independent club Spelexpo organizes exploration raids for speleologists confirmed in three major caves of the Pyrenees-Atlantic. Especially in the Massifs and Urkulu mountains. And some members leave Laos every year for explorations in the impressive networks in the region.

Tosse, a small town in the Landes region of France, offers caving enthusiasts the chance to practice this exciting activity thanks to the Spéléo Club des Landes. The club offers cave explorations, enabling members to discover the formation of caves and their flora and fauna. Caving is a discipline that encompasses many sciences, including geology, physics, chemistry, archaeology and biology. It also requires sporting skills such as hiking, climbing and abseiling. Club members must also master techniques in orienteering, survival, first aid and environmental protection. The Spéléo Club des Landes emphasizes teamwork, making the activity an enriching and comprehensive experience.

A small club with sixteen members, the speleo-club de la Lémance is a team of exploration speleologists who work in the Dordogne, in the west of the Lot and the north of the Lot-et-Garonne.

The Spéléo Club de Périgueux is a sports club based in Périgueux. With 33 members of the French caving federation, the club offers caving adventures to discover and explore the underground environment in complete safety. This society will allow you to initiate and popular yourself for this science that is archaeology. Many conferences and the (often free) visits of sites with members of the association allow a new vision of regional history, the time of dinosaurs to present day. So it's a fairly broad time period that should be enough to ensure you don't bore yourself in archaeology!

The Spéléo Club Châtelleraudais is a caving club located in Châtellerault, in the Vienne department. The club welcomes both members and the general public, and offers activities for all levels, supervised by qualified professionals from the École Française de Spéléologie. Club members explore natural and artificial caves, practice rope progression, carry out scientific activities and participate in the protection of the underground environment. The club also organizes introductory caving courses.

Some twenty members make up the association, whose playground is mainly in the Charente region. The members are particularly dedicated to discovering new cavities, and therefore to deobstruction.

An association that wants to be very «amygale»! All 8 members are involved in caving (discovery, initiation, development, chiropterans life, scientific approaches to media), in addition to acrobranche, escal'tree and adventure trails, unmanned aerial travel, canoeing, climbing… Adventurers will therefore find themselves in a position to satisfy their growing spirit.

Alexis, who has been a caving enthusiast for over 15 years, takes you off the beaten track into his mineral universe, which holds no secrets. Specialized in caving and canyoning, you'll discover the mountain environment in complete safety, in both summer and winter conditions. His playground is near Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, 50 km from Bayonne. When it comes to canyoning (towards Mauléon or Tardets), aquatic trekking is fun too. Depending on your mood and your level of fitness, you can discover the splendours of the mountains.

It's a world of its own that you'll discover here, starting almost crawling and continuing upright. In this subterranean world, as you wander through the galleries and majestic chambers, you'll discover its incredible river, its history and a few pitfalls, depending on your level. You'll need to be accompanied by a local caving club if you're not an FFS member: the route varies in length (from 1 km) and, for the more adventurous, includes a 30 m abseil in total darkness.
