Ideally situated in the heart of the small village of Barmouth, Sunray Guest House offers beautiful views of the small harbour and estuary from the rooms and common lounge. The decoration is rather sober but friendly. Children are not allowed in the hotel. The rooms are cute and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities for the morning. Be careful, the establishment does not offer breakfast, but several cafés offer some nearby. Parking for bikes, motorbikes and cars.

This is probably one of the cheapest addresses on Marine Road, which leads directly to Barmouth Sands, about five minutes walk from the centre. The rooms are well kept and serve complete breakfasts. A very Welsh version with orange juice, cereals, scrambled or poached eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms and more. All with toast of toasted bread and jam, with tea and coffee. A vegetarian version is available for those who wish. Good welcome. Free parking is available nearby.

Impressive location for this youth hostel on a cliff face above the sea. A small garden offers just enough room for a few tables outside. It's a pleasure to sit there and just enjoy the view! A good anchorage to explore the surroundings. Rooms side, choice of dormitories or private rooms. Some private rooms have their own bathroom, otherwise shared showers are available. The small living room is pleasant with its sofa and its small library at your disposal.

In the heart of Dolgellau, a former post house built in 1813 and renowned for its good food. The hotel's pub is also particularly popular with young people. Some rooms have a beautiful view of the main square of the city and the Cader Idris mountain range. The common areas are very pleasant, you can take advantage of the bar to have an aperitif or tea, the lounge to read or chat by the fire. The place has a crazy charm and it is very welcoming. A very good choice for Dolgellau! Lots of hiking trails available nearby.

Very nice little place where you really feel at home. Cosy atmosphere without being kitschy. Breakfast is served in the adorable tea room, decorated with bric-a-brac and broc. You can read books or chat comfortably on the sofa or armchairs in the living room, by the fireplace... We take advantage of the books, travel guides or games available. Three bedrooms are available, all en-suite (i.e. with en-suite bathroom). Parking is available free of charge. Minimum two nights.

A luxury hotel, ideally located facing the sea and Cardigan Bay. If the sun is out, the terraces are the ideal place to enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea or watch the sunset in the evening. As for the rooms, they are perfectly decorated in blue and cream tones, reminiscent of the spirit of the ocean. You'll find everything you need for a very pleasant stay - some rooms even have a superb sea view. Family rooms are designed for young and old alike.

An attractive site near the River Severn and excellent service have earned Severn Caravan Park & Bunkhouse three stars. The bunkhouse is divided into two sections. The first contains eleven beds in double or triple rooms and three shower cubicles, a fully-equipped kitchen, a TV and recreation room, and laundry facilities. In the second part: two double rooms and two single rooms, as well as two shared showers, a fully-equipped kitchen and a lounge.

It is a real small palace, a Georgian castle surrounded by 14 hectares of woodland and magnificent gardens, which notably welcomed Richard Gere. Everything is decorated, worked on, perfected to make it an exceptional accommodation. In short, great luxury. The rooms are spacious, modern and stylish! There are six bedrooms in the main house or three independent bedrooms in the garden with living room and one with garden. Isolated, they offer an ultra pleasant view of the green spaces. This imposing house, built in 1780, is home to Machynlleth's only true hotel and one of the town's most welcoming addresses. With its large stone fireplace, delicious restaurant and well-appointed rooms, the Wynnstay exudes a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for ending a busy day of discovery. As an added bonus, brother owners Gareth and Paul Johns and their entire team offer guests an enthusiastic welcome. Charming, friendly, country-style... we'd stay longer!

Llwyngwern Farm has a lovely location, around the River Dylas, where it's possible to swim (but you'll need to bring your own moisture). But it's really out of the way, so it's best reserved for cyclists or those with vehicles. Dogs are allowed. On-site facilities include running water, hot showers, toilets and electrical outlets. Numerous mountain trails accessible on foot or by mountain bike are nearby. The nearest supermarket is 5 miles away, bar and restaurant 1 mile. Numerous attractions in the vicinity.

Beautiful youth hostel in the old school of the village in the very well-treated garden. Dormitories and family rooms. 

The hotel's logo - a very stylish dragon - sums up the concept: to make contemporary with traditional. The owners have commissioned Welsh artists to work: original paintings for the rooms, design specially created for the restaurant's furniture... The narrow and high-rise building has one room per floor, which is served by a central spiral staircase. The recently renovated rooms are modern and well equipped. Number 6 offers a great view. Multiple lighting sources can be used to dim the lights and vary the moods.

You can't miss this guest house with its white front and yellow columns, right on the beach. It is one of the cheapest addresses on the waterfront, to remember, therefore. The rooms are very nice, modern and comfortable. There are the usual equipment such as coffee, tea, kettle, television.... All rooms have showers, except for the single room, which has access to a shower in the corridor. Good breakfast with traditional Welsh and continental options.

From the centre, take bus no. 504, next to the station, stand A. Otherwise, walk 20 minutes (climbing streets!). What could be more original to discover the city than to settle on the university campus and take the marks of students who have gone on summer holidays? Choice: single rooms with private bathroom or apartments with up to 10 rooms. And to fully adopt the student lifestyle, we also enjoy the U restaurant, the sports halls, the indoor swimming pool and the entire art centre, just like a local!

The Welsh Tourist Board has awarded three stars to this small organic beef and sheep farm. You can count on the quality of the services offered. The rooms all have en suite bathrooms and garden views. Of the four rooms, two have a double bed and two twin beds, one of which is accessible to people with reduced mobility. In the summer, Lane Farm has a pleasant terrace and garden for the little ones and their parents. Good value for money.

A beautiful renovated stone farmhouse, dating from 1750, which has several lodges for rent, nicely arranged. You can choose several lodges depending on the number of people: from 2 to 10. The owners have demonstrated their taste and creativity to make their rentals an attractive place to stay. You can also use a chef for cooking lessons on site. The place is perfectly suited for a relaxing break. The lodges are all very well equipped, some have an outdoor whirlpool bath (sheltered).

We appreciate this charming hotel, its terrace and its garden with its ideal tables to have breakfast in the sun in summer. The eleven rooms are rather elegant and well decorated. The room with the canopy bed in particular is full of charm! Renowned in the area for its hospitality and restaurant (refined, original and cheap cuisine). For breakfast, on request, we can have a vegetarian, vegan or even gluten-free choice. For cyclists: on site, bicycle garage and all the necessary equipment to wash them if necessary.

In the city centre, The Elan Hotel is a picturesque hotel with pretty rooms, recently refurbished by the new owners. With adjacent pub that serves good roasts on Sundays. Tranquillity and comfort. On site, there is also something to do in case of rain: a piano, games, television with sports channels in particular... Or you can simply read in the living room by the fireplace... It's very cosy. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Pets are not allowed.

Pleasant and spacious hostel with a view of the castle. We are rather well located, because even if we are not in the heart of Conwy, the town being quite small, we are only a quarter of an hour's walk from the castle. In the dining room, offering splendid views, good homemade meals are offered at very reasonable prices. We also appreciate the play area with a billiard table, table football... and access to a computer if needed. The rooms are simple but clean and offer the bare necessities in terms of comfort. Very good value for money.

The Lighthouse is like a small castle clinging to the side of steep cliffs. Almost 113 meters above the Irish Sea, the view is more than magnificent, it's absolutely breathtaking. The interior is comfortable, and the leeward walks between the "two seas" are enchanting. This is one of the most unusual places to stay in Wales. The most interesting of the three rooms is the Lamp Room, with its small sitting room and huge skylight offering a 280-degree panoramic view of the sea.

Renovated old Welsh farmhouse, clean and welcoming. A large fireplace in the small common room makes the place even warmer (wood fire at will). The only disadvantage of the hostel is the 25% slope of the village road, it climbs steeply: ten minutes to go down, three quarters of an hour to come back up! Even in the car, it's impressive. If you feel like going for a drink at the excellent Ty Gwyn pub down the village, take some light as there is no light along the way to the hostel.

If you wish to extend your retirement, a hotel has opened its doors in a 12th century building that is part of the monastery. The restaurant's dining room is located in the room that was once used as a monks' visiting room. The four rooms are often occupied by cyclists and walkers. The popular Offa's Dyke does not pass very far from the monastery and walks in the Llanthony Valley are renowned as one of the most spectacular in the Black Mountains. Small establishment, it is better to book in advance.

Within the Tenby fortifications, Myrtle House is famous for its breakfast, but also for the joie de vivre of its owners, the Evans. Better to book, the rooms are successful! The rooms are quite large, nicely decorated in pastel colours that make everything very warm. It feels good here very quickly. When you wake up, you can enjoy breakfast served in the dining room, with its beautiful alcove. And if you need something, or just advice, you don't hesitate to ask, you are always answered with a smile.

Meadow farm is a campsite in the north of the city, five minutes walk from the beach and ten minutes from the centre of Tenby. Located at the top of a hill overlooking the surroundings, it offers a very beautiful view of the colourful village of Tenby, its square and the sea as far as the eye can see. It is very simple, with the minimum equipment but it is a very pleasant place where it is good to pitch your tent for a few nights. As the campsite is on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path hiking trail, remember to book a little early in the summer.

Modern and spacious building. You will find many surfers there since Manorbier beach is ideal for this sport, like Freshwater West, a little further along the coast. Many rooms have their own bathroom with beds in mixed dormitories or single rooms. It is also possible to rent a part of the building, which has been converted into an apartment. In summer, you can also glamp (accommodation close to the campsite but a little more original and very comfortable) in a kind of yurt with futons.

The charm of this Victorian house inspired its owner to make the most of it. His taste for decoration and gardening was happily expressed. The three rooms, renovated in 2016, are arranged with a sure taste, in light tones. Carpets on the floors, wooden furniture and green plants give them a warm look. They each have a bathroom (all recently renovated) and their windows overlook the garden. On site, restaurant and half board possible.

A hotel 10 meters from the beach whose gardens overlooking the sea are incredible! The rooms are more or less luxurious, depending on the category chosen, all comfortable and very clean. Some of them have a view of the sea. The restaurant's menu changes every month to highlight local seasonal products. In summer, we eat on the terrace, once again, to enjoy the scenery. Off-season, the setting is ultra relaxing, with almost no tourists in the area, ideal to recharge your batteries!

Superb house in a large park, close to a wood. There are double and family rooms, cosy and comfortable, with a charming decoration. Meals are served in the beautiful dining room, in front of the fireplace or outside on the terrace. Those who want a little more privacy, have the option of renting beautiful cabins. It feels good, timeless and absolutely calm. The owners also have horses and organize equestrian excursions in the woods and along the beaches. A very nice address!

Close to the beach, you'll find a quiet location and a warm welcome. In a house dating from the ^19th century, the rooms have been renovated and transformed into beautiful apartments with one (5 apartments) or two bedrooms (3 apartments) and a living room with open-plan kitchen. Some ground-floor apartments have direct access to the garden. Well-equipped, they are simple and comfortable. No on-site restaurant, but plenty of choice nearby. Bonus: some rooms offer a sea view.

A warm welcome awaits you at this small bed & breakfast. Two rooms are available in this small family home, conveniently located near Worm's Head. One room has a double bed, the other two separate beds. Each room has its own bathroom with bath. All is neat and comfortable. There's a cosy living room with a fireplace in winter, and breakfast on the sunny terrace in summer. Good value for money, it's a good alternative to traditional hotels. Plus: sea views.

A little out of the village, this is the only campsite near Rhossili. It offers a superb view of the sea. Here you are close to the most beautiful beaches and coastal paths of the peninsula. It is really a pleasant place to camp, enjoy nature and calm (if you are not in the middle of summer...). On site, you will find a small store to help you out, toilets and showers, as well as a laundry area. (Attention, wifi available but not free of charge).

At the King Arthur Hotel, you will find less than twenty comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms (several comfort ranges). For more privacy or for families, a cottage for four people is available: with living room and wood stove, equipped kitchen... This warm traditional inn is also a very good pub and restaurant. The terrace, surrounded by meadows where sheep graze, comes alive on sunny summer days. A very good choice to spend a few days with friends or family in complete serenity.

Between Caerleon, Usk and Cwmbran, this family farm, where sheep have been raised, has been renovated in B & B and offers visitors comfortable rooms. A lounge-dining room and a kitchenette are available as well as a small private garden with tables and chairs to take your meals or breakfast. Ideal for a couple, this accommodation is also interesting for families who receive a special rate. You can store your car or bike in the home garage and free internet access.

You immediately feel at home between the thick stone walls and under the oak beams of this former coaching inn. Lovely, romantic rooms. The hotel's rustic decor has retained an inn-like atmosphere. The restaurant has won several awards for the quality of its cuisine. Here you'll find local specialties based on local produce: beef, mutton and venison are all on the menu, marinated in the subtle sauces for which the chef is renowned. The menu also includes salmon and trout caught in the river Usk.

A few rooms in a well-kept family home, close to the centre. The house also prepares meals to take away for your hikes on request. The rooms are simple, equipped with the minimum: coffee, tea, kettle, television... While some rooms have a private bathroom, others simply have a sink and access to a shared bathroom. Good simple breakfast: eggs, sausage, cereals, fruit.... Most of the products come from local production, otherwise they prefer fair trade products.

In the village of Sennybridge, renowned as one of the most charming of the Brecon Beacons, a friendly rural farmhouse with five stars! Spacious rooms with large beds... canopy! A little kitsch perhaps, but king size and with an individual bathroom. In summer, you can have breakfast in the garden. No restaurant, but a pub 15 minutes walk away. Hiking guides are on loan from the house and picnics can be prepared for you. Perfect when you have a car and can therefore move easily.

A hotel whose main asset is its delightful view over Rhossili Bay and Worm's Head. Having breakfast here, as the sun rises, is simply sublime. The elevated view allows you to admire the bay in its entirety. There's a good restaurant on site, which we recommend for dinner, as the colors of the sky change as the sun sets... Rooms are quite comfortable and often spacious, with some offering a view over the bay. You quickly feel at home in this hotel.

An affordable beachfront hotel among the many on the waterfront, the White Heather Hotel stands out for its modest prices and hearty breakfast. Behind its white facade and outdated, slightly faded decor, the rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly, helpful and have good advice on local activities. Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate, and the hotel has the distinction of offering single rooms with en-suite bathrooms.

An imposing farmhouse dating from 1859, with a slightly austere exterior appearance but full of character and much appreciated, set in 180 hectares of farmland. If you have children, they'll be happy to go see the animals. On the hotel side, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious. It is especially nice with the family or if you want to spend several nights there. They are all well equipped. In the morning, we enjoy a good and hearty breakfast with the maximum of local and seasonal products put forward.

This hotel is housed in an old castle, which overlooks the bay from its small hill. The place is absolutely sublime. The rooms are not particularly bright because of their small windows, but they have a charm and modernity that just make you want to spend all your holidays here! The common areas are extremely pleasant, cosy, bright and warm. We come here to drink tea in peace and quiet, or to work a little. The breakfast is at the level of the quality of the establishment: divine!

Ideally located in the heart of the city, this new hotel is a perfect pied-à-terre! The rooms are all well equipped and very comfortable. In order to be more ecological, there are no mini samples in the bathroom, only rechargeable fixed vials! At bedroom level, the only thing we regret is that the windows don't open... Sports hall at your disposal and pleasant coffee on the ground floor. Breakfast is served on the top floor, in the restaurant and it is absolutely perfect!

In an old farmhouse, very close to the sumptuous Whitesands beach, at the start of many coastal hiking trails. St David's Inn is certainly the most economical accommodation in the area and was completely renovated in 2017. The rooms are classic and clean, with the minimum of fuss, in a sober decor between green, white and wood spirit with panelling. The communal areas are very welcoming and pleasant, and in the summer you can enjoy a large garden, ideal for reading or just relaxing.

The site is located near a beautiful lake (fishing opportunities) and also has Shetland ponies for residents! Quality, well-kept campsite. It has everything you need and is very well located to enjoy nature. You can even rent two fully equipped gîtes (kitchen, bathroom with bathtub...) for 4 or 6 people. On the other hand, they do not provide sheets or towels, so remember to bring a duvet. The site also has a small, friendly swimming pool, a sauna and a children's playground.

The hotel is located in a black and white house of character dating back more than 400 years, with pretty half-timbered facades, owned by the mayor of Hay-on-Wye. The rooms, arranged under the roofs, are adorable and comfortable. The equipment is minimal but sufficient: tea, coffee, kettle, television in all rooms. Large lounge dining room to enjoy a hearty breakfast in the morning. Private parking, garden overlooking the Wye River. Good value for money. Pets are not allowed.

This camping area, open to tents and caravans, enjoys a privileged location at the top of a cliff overlooking the beach. The view of the sunset or the sunrise, when you wake up, is amazing! We could spend hours admiring the scenery. We can count on impeccable comfort and maintenance. The owners also rent pretty cottages next to the beach. We even let ourselves be tempted by glamping, camping in adorable ultra-comfort tents.

This is a well-equipped youth hostel in the old Victorian rescue station on the water's edge. You can relax in the living room, with its large bay window and sea view. Choice of 8-bed dormitories (separate women and men), triple and family rooms (4 beds) and even some double rooms. The kitchen is accessible, we have access to the fridge, microwave, oven... as well as the kitchen equipment. If you decide to spend some time exploring the surroundings, it is a very good address that gives you a view of the beach.

The hostel is a little out of the way, but it's the only one with a 5-star rating in the UK! Don't worry, it's still within easy walking distance of the Welsh capital's main attractions. What's more, you'll find friendly staff on site! Among the 320 beds available, you can choose between private or shared rooms. The common areas (lounge, bar and dining room) are colorful, clean and pleasant. If the whole lacks a little charm, it's still a very good value for money.

A stone farmhouse, located in an ideal location for mountain and cellar lovers. Blaenavon Heritage Centre and one of the deepest caves in Europe can be reached on foot! If you are travelling in a group, rooms with two, four and six beds are available, almost all with an adjoining bathroom. But book well in advance in this hotel, which is not very large and often has a busy schedule! The hostel also has a lounge and a garden that is pleasant to the first rays of the sun!

Situated in the beautiful Dee valley, this campsite offers an enchanting setting for campers and camper van owners. Pods" (wooden huts for those who want a little more comfort) are in great demand. There are also three cottages available for rent: two for four people - one of which is accessible to people with reduced mobility and a third that can accommodate up to 14 people! There is also a bistro open every day for lunch and dinner in season, with a bar section.

Courtfield Hotel is nestled in a beautiful Victorian-style townhouse, only a few minutes walk from Cardiff Castle and the city centre. The highlights of this pleasant address: the location, the enthusiastic welcome and the freshly prepared traditional breakfast. The rooms are simple, carefully decorated in an English style and very comfortable. On the spot, we find the traditional hotel equipment and good news for those who are transported, we can park for free on the street.
