No "pratiquant": Aikido is practised by women and men of all sizes and ages. The courses are open to all for 16 years. Ueshiba Morihei, founder of aikido, focused on the full development of the individual. Faithful to this tradition, students observe the teacher to demonstrate a gesture or catch and then work with a partner to reply, in the fairest and most effective manner. The purpose of the practice: technically, physically and mentally move in the right mood. It is this spirit of conviviality that the leaders and members of this club maintain.
CLUB DE JUJITSU TRADITIONNEL
Read moreThe traditional Japanese jujitsu club in Rivière, near Arras, offers the opportunity to practice the non-competitive Japanese martial art of jujitsu wa-jutsu method. Sessions are adapted to the level of the students and supervised by an experienced volunteer. The dojo is located in Rivière's multi-purpose hall, behind the town hall, surrounded by greenery. It has 100 m2 of tatami mats and is fully equipped to welcome all our students. Annual dues are affordable, with discounts for families and multiple practitioners. A trial session is available before signing up.

This club houses champions and champions from France. Competitions are possible after at least 2 years of practice. Children can take courses from 4 years of age. Frédéric Bourgoin, 5 th dan, took over the torch of his father Michel, 8 th dan, who created the club in 1964. Judo is taught at the age of 6 and the jiu-jujitsu (judo mix, karate, aikido called paraphrase self-defence, martial art for which there are no competitions) from the age of 12.
