Formerly Health and Maintenance of Elderly Persons at Home (SMDPA), the structure consists of health care providers, nurses and medical professionals, to deliver home care to persons in loss of autonomy: elderly persons or in situations of disability. The CCAS is open to people experiencing occasional or recurring financial difficulties or housing problems. This assistance takes the form of personalized support vouchers. These are issued on a quarterly basis. Homeless people can also apply to the CCAS to have a postal address, so that they can receive mail to be collected during opening hours. Please note that requests cannot be received by e-mail. All requests must be made by the person concerned when visiting the CCAS.

AIDES is a voluntary association working in Laval and throughout France to support HIV-positive people and those most vulnerable to HIV and hepatitis. Their actions take place both on and off their premises. Founded in 1984, AIDES is the leading association in the fight against AIDS and hepatitis in France and Europe. It is recognized as a charitable organization and has been awarded the "donation en confiance" label by the Comité de la Charte. For the past 30 years, AIDES has been working to reduce the number of new infections, help those affected find care and defend their rights. The association also plays a major role in improving the way patients are taken into account in France's healthcare system, developing the rights of vulnerable people and fighting discrimination. The Association des Parents Gays et Lesbiens (APGL) is a self-help association based in Erdre-en-Anjou. It offers information and experience-sharing activities for homoparental families. APGL also has a legal space reserved for members, where they can obtain information on their rights and legal procedures. The association also focuses on the fight against discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. It takes part in events such as the Paris Pride March, and is committed to obtaining more rights for homoparental families. APGL is a member of the European network of LGBT family associations (NELFA) and is supported by the Délégation Interministérielle à la Lutte Contre le Racisme, l'Antisémitisme et la Haine anti-LGBT (DILCRAH).
