Without doubt the most emblematic beach of the island... On this adorable little beach of the Ladies, a seaside art of the beginning of the 19th century remains, largely reinforced by the white wooden beach huts which border it. Embellished by the proximity of the Bois de la Chaize, embalmed from February by the mimosas in bloom, the Plage des Dames, the darling of the Nantaise and then the Parisian women, remains the most exclusive beach of the department. It was the location of the film " Le Petit Nicolas"; beach and shops were revamped for the occasion.

With a surface area of 35 hectares, the site of the Tricherie lake offers a range of leisure activities, including a pond for fishing. The tour of the lake is about 3 km long and has a picnic area. Among the leisure activities: adventure course in the trees, swimming (supervised in July and August), games for children on the beach, merry-go-rounds (from April to September), mini-golf, pedal or electric boat, windsurfing. This magnificent 72-hectare lake with a dam and numerous paths offers a superb setting for relaxation with a circuit open to mountain bikers and walkers, as well as an area for fishing and rowing. Other leisure activities: canoes and stand-up paddles for hire all year round. Original idea: celebrate your child's birthday here with a wide choice of activities to have fun with his friends: canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddle, archery, slack-line, orienteering..

The Saint-Blaise leisure park is ideal for your family outings. Free of charge, it offers a plethora of activities to satisfy the energy of your dear children: from the slides to the ponies, not forgetting the pedal boats and the bowling green, they should find something to do. In summer, access the beach and its supervised swimming. To quench your thirst, a refreshment bar welcomes you. For fishermen, it will even be possible to go and tease the trout, the park providing equipment and bait.

When the heat is intense, it's hard to find a quiet place at the pool, right? So, let us prefer the leisure grounds, certainly also attended, but with more important spaces. In Parigné, the water plan is located on the road to Ruaudin. Swimming is permitted and supervised in the high season, allowing you to take your children to the beach to make a dip. Some other possible activities: fishing, hiking, mini golf and children's games. The location is very pleasant to relax on the water or to make a picnic. A bar is opened in the summer and the national day's fireworks are there.

Located in the eastern part of the city centre, this water plan is especially popular with fishermen (fishing card for sale at the 10 St. Father's Garden, rue de Blandeau), as well as ordinary walkers. There are playground areas for children (string pyramid) and picnic spaces, as well as a ping pong table and a ball pitch. This reservoir pond located in "Petit Fay". It has an area of 6,7 hectares. This park offers the inhabitants of St. Father in Retz a new, privileged public space.

The Don Valley offers a site for fishing and relaxation (picnic tables). It is located on the edge of the water, not far from the brochet spawning ground (where the pike breed).

At the edge of this stretch of water, a pontoon for fishermen - with access for disabled people (fishing cards to be bought at the Maison du Tourisme). The lake also has a beach (supervised bathing in summer, prohibited outside the summer period). You can bring your picnic here and take a walking trail of about 1.5 km. Located parallel to the road to Champtoceaux, you can reach the lake by taking the rue de la Loire or rue du Chêne. At the end of the latter, the car park on the chemin du Rio offers a large number of parking spaces, including a shaded area.

At the southern end of the Mervent forest massif, the Espace de loisirs du lac de Chassenon is a must-see leisure and bathing site in the Sud-Vendée region. The campsite has 16 bare pitches to pitch your tent, caravan or camper, as well as 10 chalets and 4 luxury safari tents.

Amateur or experienced fishermen, the Hubeau Mill will be for you a corner of paradise. Without a fishing licence, rent a space among the dozen ponds on the site and enjoy a trout release on order, or simply enjoy the beauty of the place by having a picnic... Barbecue available ! Different formulas are proposed (for children too), rentals are spread over half a day, a day, and even the weekend! It is also possible to pay only for the fish caught. With a surface area of 177 ha, this lake offers a beach with swimming, a water slide and a water sports club. You can also rent rowing boats and pedal boats at the Cabanon, and there are good fishing spots for carp on 9.5 km of shoreline. To know the authorized fishing spots, contact the Fishing Federation. The area around the lake also offers hiking and mountain bike trails. You can also go water skiing (from 7 years old), to which you have to add the rental of the wakeboard (or wakeskate), and the wetsuit.

This lake is located between Coëx and Saint-Révérend. A place that the fishermen know well since it is authorized to fishing. This lake of 37 hectares was created for the irrigation of the cultures and the Golf of Coex. The compacted clay dam, built on the Gué-Gorand stream, has created a water reservoir covering more than 25 hectares. A footpath allows you to walk around the reservoir by crossing the dam. You can see a very old chestnut tree with two trunks. The circuit of the lake of Gué-Gorand (12,9 km, approximately 3h30 of walk).

This 127-hectare reservoir extends over 5 communes: Sigournais, Monsireigne, Bazoges-en-Pareds and Tallud-Sainte-Gemme, offering hikers numerous trailheads, particularly on the La Morlière site. It is the largest water reservoir in the Grand Lay Valley. Set in a landscape of grassy or rocky hillsides, it is home to a colony of migrating ducks in the fall. As for leisure activities, nature lovers will be delighted: fishing (all white fish, pike-perch, pike-perch, carp), swimming, children's games, picnic tables.

This 55 hectare reservoir stretches along the river Lay with a succession of valleys and ends at the reservoir of the Angle Guignard dam. Along the lake, there are walking paths. The path along the lake allows you to reach the village of Fuiteau with its washhouse. Fishing is permitted on the banks. There are also multi-sports fields, sand games, a skatepark, fitness trail, archery range, orienteering course and children's playground. La Gèmerie is the starting point for jogging, hiking and mountain-biking trails.

Close to the city center, this area was developed by the city on former flood meadows in 1978. A beautiful park and an immense stretch of water in the heart of the city, where you can cool off in the summer with a swimming area, picnic, run, sail or canoe. The banks are ideal for wildlife observation. You'll also find a 4-star campsite, the Maison de l'Environnement and the nautical center.

Located in the commune of Plessé, on the Etang de Buhel, Wake Park Plessé is a leisure park specializing in water sports such as wakeboarding, water skiing, wakeskating and kneeboarding. It also offers stand-up paddle activities. Wake Park Plessé offers summer courses for children and teenagers, as well as water skiing and wakeboarding lessons. There's also a bar and snack bar.
