Ô SAINTE PATRONNE

Creative leisure

Hands that create are hands that think... and Sophie Fraudin's hands have been creating for a long time, for as long as she can remember, with this passion for sewing and the beautiful way of doing things buried inside her. So, after years spent in a pharmaceutical laboratory as an executive, she decided to create this project that was so dear to her heart: to transmit her passion and her know-how of sewing. Today, it is done with this workshop where everyone, at their own pace and under Sophie's guidance, can learn to sew: by yearly or quarterly subscription, a la carte, during vacations... to rediscover the pleasure of doing it yourself and to leave with your creation.

This store is for needle lovers. Mille Patch is a hymn to patchwork and point counting. Entire walls are full of fabrics to sew on top of each other (€3.25 for 25 cm) using kilometres of thread (€9.90 for 460 metres). Muriel Varnier will welcome you with a smile, she knows everything about patchwork and will be able to advise you on your embroidery projects. For children, there is something fun to do: during school holidays, there are sewing workshops. It is also possible to follow courses on patchwork, which requires patience and precision: thus, three sessions of 3 hours each are offered at 90€. A lot to learn from!

ATELIER MARTINE MAUDET

Creative leisure
Closed - Open to 14h00

It's been 4 years now that Martine Maudet, graduate in art embroidery and from the famous school Pivaut in Nantes, has invested this small room in the rue Bressigny to exhibit and sell her creations, but also (alternately, and more and more frequently) to give art embroidery classes (of course!), but also painting, pastel, drawing and even tapestry. A multidisciplinary artist, whose gallery-workshop-boutique is constantly reinvented according to her creations (superb clay sculptures and female portraits in oil or acrylic) but also according to her desire to exhibit the works of other artists. A singular, intimate and endearing place.
