Born out of a traditional fabric store with over 30 years' experience, La Mercerine has set up shop in the shopping mall of the Leclerc Paridis supermarket and at the Pôle Sud in Basse-Goulaine. In this bright, well-organized store, you'll find everything you need for sewing, embroidery, darning... Here, you'll find everything you need to make beautiful DIY (Do It Yourself) with fabrics and many other beautiful printed materials, so you can look good from head to toe and redecorate your home with new, pretty patterns. You'll be spoilt for choice with original fabrics to sew unique garments: waxes, arty Clarke & Clarke fabrics, velvets, suedes, jacquards, imitation leather, English embroideries, printed jerseys, bamboo sponges, printed cottons, outdoor canvases, children's cottons.... But also buttons, ribbons and elastics in a thousand shapes and colors, needles, scissors, handbag handles, zippers, darning eggs, beads, rulers, iron-on patterns for darning trouser knees, and many other haberdashery items. There's also a literature corner in the "book box", where you can read about sewing, model making... And if you don't know how to sew yet, or would like to improve your technique, there are workshops to give you the basics and tips to make whatever you want. With courses for adults and children, you'll get real project guidance from real enthusiasts.
