Equestrian centers and pony clubs Ile-De-France

The site was originally a priory founded in 1120 by the monks of the congregation of Tiron. In 1890, the turfiste and breeder Edmond Blanc bought the domain and transformed it into stud. All existing buildings with the exception of barn have been razed and new buildings are receiving the breeding of purebred horses. The stud farms soon acquire an international reputation that does not wane when the domain was acquired by Marcel Boussac in 1920. In 1980, the State surrendered the stud stud and entrusted its management to the General Council of Hauts-de-Seine. Located close to the Bois de Vincennes, where 18 km of cavalier tracks are found, this equestrian center, open to riders from 6 years old, offers both leisure and competition. In this countryside, which is only a few kilometers away from the capital, the «baby» (under 6 years), the «juniors» (aged 6 to 16) and, of course, beyond. A professional stable is also part of the circle.

Vincennes is the Mecca of trotting, a world reference. This 42-hectare racecourse has two tracks that can accommodate up to 35,000 people. The "Grande Piste" is 2,000 meters long and has a remarkable slope and very soft ground. Inside, the "Petite Piste" of 1,325 m is reserved for night races. The racecourse hosts more than 150 trotting meetings each year, including the Prix de France, the Prix du Président de la République, the Grand National du Trot and the famous Prix de l'Amérique. Activities are planned for children.

Initially intended for training, this racecourse was opened to the public in 1901, gradually becoming a must-see, to the point of having today a reputation and a notoriety extended to all of France. It is located on a plateau overlooking the Seine near the Val d'Or district of Clodoaldi and covers 75 hectares. The equestrian centre welcomes the riders from 3 years old in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Many activities are proposed year round. Among the activities, you find: school school, baptisms, animations (for example: hunter, cross, equifun, ethology, walking, walking, derby, derby…), contests, competition and federal examinations. The centre is very well equipped with four quarries, three rides, 77 horses and 61 ponies: Bayard Club has beautiful infrastructure.

Nestled on the heights of Rueil-Malmaison the equestrian centre of Buzenval enjoys an exceptional situation, along the golf course of Saint-Cloud with its beautiful lawns, wood from Saint-Cucufa with direct access from the quarry and has two rides and a career. It welcomes children, adults and adolescents in a friendly and friendly atmosphere. At Club House, at Merzak, at the Grand manège level, you can dine in the bar or table, with hot or fresh drinks, sandwiches, hot or cold meals. The Centre Equestre Départemental Georges-Valbon in La Courneuve is located in the Parc Départemental Georges-Valbon. Covering an area of 10 hectares, it offers a variety of equestrian activities for all levels. The center has five riding arenas, including one suitable for ponies, as well as several careers and a cross-country course. There are also stables for horses and ponies, a round pen, a paddock, a parking lot and a bar-restaurant. Riding lessons are given by qualified instructors and cover different disciplines such as dressage, show jumping, horse ball, carriage driving and voltige. The center also offers activities for children from the age of 2, as well as adapted programs for people with disabilities. The Comité Départemental d'Equitation des Yvelines is an association located in Les Bréviaires, in the French department of Yvelines. It is a decentralized body of the French Equestrian Federation. The committee's main missions are to organize training courses, contribute to the organization of sporting events in the department, develop facilities and equipment used for equestrian activities, organize departmental selection, assess the technical proficiency of licensed riders and represent the FFE at departmental level. The WGC's history is based on the creation of three main structures: the Fédération Française des Sports Compétitions in 1921, the National Association for Equestrian Tourism in 1963, and the Pony Club de France in 1971. It was in 1987 that the heirs of these three branches will join to form the French Horse Riding Federation. Today, there are more than 8 400 equestrian groups and more than 700 000 licensees.

Thanks to the Centre équestre de La Villette, horseback riding would almost become an urban discipline: admit that riding with the city around you, and the abundance of the Parc de La Villette, is not so frequent. This structure regroups different clubs that offer equestrian activities for all ages and all levels, whether on pony or horseback. Introductory courses are reserved for beginners, as well as training sessions.

For horse owners, a range of boarding options are also available, with dedicated facilities to meet your every need. The site, run by a team of enthusiasts, also boasts an attractive clubhouse with a view of the riding arena.

This is one of the many boarding stables for private horses in the region. Les Écuries d'Hermières are charming stables, on the historic site of the village, on the edge of the woods with a riding school, an arena and a dozen hectares of meadows where your horses can run free. Your horses have a comfortable box and are particularly well catered for. The owners come to ride their horses and benefit from the facilities to work them or relax on the surrounding footpaths.

The Etrier de Paris is an association of Law 1901 created in 1895, which now comprises about 1 000 members around equestrian practice. The facilities are spread over two sites located in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne and the doors of Paris, easily accessible by car or public transport. The Etrier in Paris includes a shetland and dual pony pony, two horse riding schools, from beginners to Amateur Competition 4, and a large owners'team. Equestrian competitions are regularly organized there, as a result of obstacles and training, thus allowing many riders to benefit from regular and increasingly efficient equipment. Access to Club-House (bar and restaurant) is reserved for members and their guests.

Both a private stable and an equestrian centre, this small structure based on leisure and friendly atmosphere takes horses for boarding by providing a paddock, boxes and a meadow. The  Grace stables offer lessons with their own horses. These are individualized for young and old, from beginners to gallop 7 (maximum 3 people). There are also "discovery sessions" as from the age of 18 months, but also for adults for a first privileged contact with horses and ponies.

Set in a renovated th century warehouse, this pony-club has the special interest of being located in the heart of the city, in a quiet and green site, Saint-Germain Island. The cavalerie'and double'cavalry is the pleasure of apprentice riders aged 2 to 14. All the activities that can be done on pony are proposed, the obstacles to dressage, the carousel or pony-games. It has a lobby, a hippologie room, horse stables and a pony-pony, a merry ride and a great career.

To enter in Poney Club des Closeaux, opposite the island of the Road, and close to Bougival, it is to take a real breath of fresh air in nature! In this human size, the atmosphere is cheerful and relaxed. The equestrian centre is accredited by the French federation of riding, and welcomes all riders, from beginners as from 3 years with experienced. Twenty frames, the Shetland to the double pony, composes the cavalry. The two instructresses offer many activities: group lessons, walks, courses, rentals of ponies, competitions, examination, training, saut de obstacles, but also Trec (equestrian hiking) and polo! The town young people will be put in confidence with their favourite companions, thanks to the fun education of the instructresses.

Among the 700 riding centers in Île-de-France, there are only five or six that specialise in horse and carriage driving. La Ferme du Vieux Château is one of them.
