But its hub is the most powerful in Europe, with more than 25,000 connecting opportunities per week between long-haul and medium-haul flights or vice versa. To find your way around the terminals: Charles de Gaulle airport has three terminals; terminals 1 and 2 accommodate international airlines, while terminal 3 is dedicated to charter flights. In the long term, a new and gigantic terminal, the T4, should enable the whole company to pass the 100 million passenger mark. The CDGVAL automatic metro allows you to move easily and quickly in the public area of the airport. It runs every 4 minutes from 4am to 1am, with an alternative bus service outside these hours.

Read moreLocated fifteen kilometers south of Paris, Orly airport offers access to several international destinations. It's a great alternative for travellers from all over the world. As far as transfers are concerned, you'll need to allow around forty minutes to reach Paris (via RER B or C trains or shuttle buses). Once you've reached the capital, you can take the train from Gare de Lyon or Gare de Bercy. Alternatively, if you prefer to drive, the A6 freeway is nearby, as is the A5 (to Sens).
