AÉROPORT ROISSY – CHARLES-DE-GAULLE
It is the second largest airport in Europe (and, according to forecasts, it could well become the largest in the coming years) and employs several tens of thousands of people in all professions. The largest airport in Paris, opened in 1974, now has three terminals, which are divided into several small terminals. It is so vast that an automatic metro allows you to move around. Well served by several highways, it is even the setting for a TGV station, which makes it possible to reach almost all French cities directly. Internally, it has its own automatic metro line, which connects the terminals. To reach Paris, the bus and RER are the most used common networks, while line 17 of the Greater Paris metro will arrive at the airport by 2030. The airport has three huge terminals, and is expected to have a fourth one in the next decade or so.
