Every summer, Lectoure receives an increased number of visitors. The Tourist Office has therefore set up summer visits to both tourists and locals. The theme is different for each visit, but the common point is the discovery of the heritage of the city: cathedral, special hotels, flavours, traditions… Some of the tours are nocturnal, other theatre or music, to choose according to your tastes.

Arnaud will take you on a tour of his city in an 8-seater air-conditioned minibus to see and understand everything about the "Île singulière", with selected stops. The authentic in a day, here is the motto of this true Sétois who brings us, through well-felt anecdotes, the most picturesque of the singular Island. His visits on the theme of heritage are punctuated with delicious tastings. You can admire, for example, the marine cemetery, Mount Saint-Clair, the theater of the sea, the market, the upper quarter, the old port, the Levis Bridge... From April to October, embark on an unforgettable tour on the canals by pleasure boat. You will discover the port of Aigues-Mortes along the ramparts from where King Saint-Louis set out on a crusade, pass by the Salins du Midi, the pink flamingo ponds, in the midst of the Camargue's fauna and flora. These cruises are commented by an experienced local guide. In summer, experience the cruises at sunset with tasting of regional products to the sound of gypsy guitars. Little advice, think about mosquito repellent and sun cream.

On 67 kilometres, the Allier gorges as you can't see them other than by train! Through along the Allier River, the journey lasts a little less than 2 h, with a gentle ride to better enjoy the beauty of the landscapes crossed to Langeac. It is enriched with comments on architectural and natural heritage, ideas of visits, historical anecdotes, or gastronomy… After an afternoon of free visits, the return is made by train or not. Tickets are available at the tourist office.

Whether you lived on the Aude or just passing through the Aude, you could not miss the numerous stone huts that dotted the landscape of Cathar Country. Typical of the region, these constructions bearing the name "capitelles" used to be used as a shelter for shepherds. The promenade we offer will allow you to discover a few. On the Rue du Château-Fort, it is an illustrated stone indicating its departure; You will then need to follow the direction of Villelongue before taking on the left and following the yellow marking of the trees (sometimes random: distrust!). The capitelles are indicated by yellow panels.

Seen from the village, it is impressive. Intimidating, almost. More than 300 metres above your heads, perched on its «pog» at 1 207 metres above sea level, it even tends to demotivate the least brave. However, the hiking that takes you to you is most glamorous, and the view from there… A let us lose the words! You dominate the whole region: the country of Olmes, the lake of Montbel, and even in the distant weather, the Mediterranean. Please note that the end of the ascent and access to the castle are paid: a modest and justified amount to the views of the maintenance they require.
