The Municipal Theatre, in the heart of Escutcheon, is the right lung of culture in Nîmes. The Association for a Popular Theatre, which enters its 46 ^th season in Nîmes, develops a dynamic and dynamic activity for the benefit of loyal spectators. The major scenes of the city (the Odéon, the Municipal Theatre or Christian Ligier) welcome a year-round, dense and demanding progammation. From September to April, the ATP proposes about shows per season: classic or contemporary authors'pieces, reading of poetic texts, philosophy, musicals, choreography, theatre of images… The association benefits from the volunteer audience of members who have committed themselves to this popular theatre. The programme paper The Projector is sent to more than 2 500 spectators (5 to 6 numbers per year).

Foryoung and old, the Théâtre de Poche is an eclectic and dynamic place, which presents a multitude of shows: puppets, theater, storytelling, humor, musical cabaret, concert... A small subsidised theatre behind the Carré d'Art which programs the creation of professional and amateur troops, readings of contes tales, modern clowns. On the weekend, musical evenings show authors, composers and cabaret artists, but the particularity of Télémac is its awareness of theatrical play. Thus, speakers animate workshops for children, adolescents, adults and offer various modules of playful excercices, to assert themselves thanks to oral and body expression. Groups made up of a dozen participants will thus discover the foundations of the profession of actor: work on voice, improvisation, space, body and learning text… An educational dimension in the form of internships or collective courses that make theatre year round.

Ten minutes from Toulouse, the Usine welcomes national and international companies. Dances, words or theater, a vast choice is offered to you. The Nuits Bleues allow you to discover atypical shows, new aesthetics, in direct interaction with the spectators who wander inside and outside in spaces dedicated to various performances. The international influence of the site is expressed through exchanges such as "Hybride", a Franco-Japanese program around contemporary dance in the public space.

In 22 years, the old hangars of the railway station have experienced many of the passionate people who have committed themselves to a goal: offer a true cultural location in the valley, open to all audiences and brought by quality programming. A good bet and this Little Theatre has a lot of… charm plus because it has a radiant soul! A former wine storehouse, this theater has 150 seats and hosts various shows: plays, concerts, readings, performances...which end with meetings with the artists in the adjoining Cantine, over a glass of wine or a good soup. This beautiful cultural and poetic space in the middle of the countryside also welcomes school children, and Michèle, who is also a director, leads workshops. Pierre, who is a scenographer, is in charge of the stage management and the scenery.

When this theatre was created in 1964, its mission was to host the Centre Dramatique National du Sud-Ouest. Quickly taken over by the Toulouse City Hall, it has known many adventures for several decades. Since 2016, the management has been in the hands of Sébastien Bournac, director of the Tabula Rasa company. Its programming is intended to be multidisciplinary, combining the great classics of the repertoire revisited and contemporary writings. This intimate Italian theatre is pretty beautiful. It has a floor and three balconies, a corbel, a classical stage 16 meters long and 10 meters deep, with proscenium. A reception capacity of 632 places. The theatre of the Novelties welcomes part of the programming of the National Scene Tarbes-Pyrénées, so the quality and variety of performances are assured: concerts, theatrical forms or trekking to a wide audience.

A new structure made available to companies and artists by the Tarbaise municipality that wants to offer a cultural policy accessible to everyone. By working closely with local cultural associations, in order to support their creations, Irap proposes diversified programming: theatre, dance, music. A show, but also, in relation to the theme and the same place, workshops, conferences, exhibitions, readings and public rehearsals. The formula "Sunday at the Theatre", an original way to spend some Sunday afternoons in the theatre: show at 16 pm, followed by a convivial meeting with the troupe (often embellished with delicacies). Season programs are published on annual or monthly booklets.

Well integrated in the popular Richelieu quarter, the Théâtre de l'Odéon lives its cultural life all year round. A nice entrance, welcoming with its bar and red velvet, a modular room where various scenes are played: theatre for all, annual festivals (flamenco, scholarship for young talent talents, etc.) music concerts today, often rock. At the same time, we would tend to forget that this municipal theatre also has the vocation of living the popular theatre, that its programming follows the choices of ATP. As often in Nîmes, due to a multi-functional room, this theatre, opened in 2007, programme as many concerts as theatrical performances. Located on the banks of the Saint-Estève lake, this beautiful theatre with its wave-shaped roof, designed by the Barcelona architect Dilmé Fabre, has a capacity of 815 seats and a stage area of 166^m2. Its annual programme is rich and varied. Its architecture and the materials used have been specially designed to optimise acoustic and visual quality, as well as great comfort for the public and the artists. It is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility and has a large free car park.
