As its name suggests, Club Saint-Germain is a departure from the usual dance factories, offering a more relaxed atmosphere. Au Fut distinguishes itself from other bars by its "you're the bartender" concept: take a drink, put your card in front of one of the pumps installed on each table and serve yourself, according to your desires and new meetings. Regularly, new craft beers are put forward, accompanied by planks of cold cuts or cheese. It is also the ideal place for the retransmission of football or rugby matches on a giant screen. V and B takes you to the discovery of many wines and beers in a setting divided into two spaces, one part wine cellar and the other in an Irish pub atmosphere. The Cinémistral is located in a beautiful house with a garden in the center of Frontignan. Le Cratère, located in the heart of the city, is Alès' largest concert hall, seating 800. Comedians, concerts, plays, dance, screenings during the film festival... As a national stage, the Cratère hosts top-notch contemporary French and European shows, and also gives pride of place to local artists. When this theatre was created in 1964, its mission was to host the Centre Dramatique National du Sud-Ouest. Quickly taken over by the Toulouse City Hall, it has known many adventures for several decades. Since 2016, the management has been in the hands of Sébastien Bournac, director of the Tabula Rasa company. Its programming is intended to be multidisciplinary, combining the great classics of the repertoire revisited and contemporary writings. Here you can enjoy delicious teas, carefully selected and recommended by Sylvain, as well as coffees and hot chocolates, and homemade syrups and iced teas. On the sweet side of the shop window, you can choose from traditional viennoiseries, home-made madeleines, crêpes and choux pastries with vanilla whipped cream. This lively place also sometimes hosts attractive exhibitions and small concerts.

At once an art gallery, a wine bar and a wine cellar, Chez Syl Vins surprises and enchants. More than 500 references of wines, 100 of which are natural and living wines. "I like wine without make-up", Sylvain confides to us, "I am a wine merchant but my past as a master sommelier catches up with me, I am always looking for what is rare". We discovered some delicious small vintages, accompanied by local cheeses and charcuterie. Listening to this kind, tender and modest man comment on a tasting, guiding your taste buds and your senses is pure happiness. We love it!

On the avenue in front of the train station, there is a second cinema in Sète: Le Nouveau Palace. At this address, the program focuses on films for all audiences, blockbusters, sometimes with 3D glasses. One comes here to discover the latest blockbuster with friends or family. Inside, several rooms have been completely renovated to improve the comfort of spectators. Everyone can enjoy a great time with reasonably priced tickets. Perfect for an afternoon with the kids.

A new venue for epicurean pleasures, a "place of artistic and culinary emotions" according to founders Laurent Cieutat and Magali Casier. There's no à la carte menu, and dishes change every week according to the workshops taking place in the dining room. At lunchtime, there's an all-you-can-eat buffet. The huge room is decorated in a chic, cosy style, and the atmosphere changes according to the evening's theme. Thursdays from 5pm, it's after-work, with music and delicious tapas. On Fridays and Saturdays, there's food and soft music until the evening starts at 10pm.

To live your passion for horse racing you will find in Castelsarrasin a racecourse, at the exit of the city in the direction of Moissac. Close to the shops and easily accessible, it is the venue for many horse racing meetings with its trotting track and its flat track among others. The dynamic association which manages it gathers many enthusiasts, jockeys, horse breeders or simple amateurs and lovers of horse sports.

The Hippodrome de la Demi-Lune in Lannemezan is a friendly venue for horse racing. Founded in 1892, it offers free admission for all at both meetings. Professionals will appreciate the soft grass track made of peat. The gallop track measures 1,312 meters and has a straight chord. The racecourse has 25 horse stalls. A snack bar is available on site.

This racecourse schedules races once a year, in August. The Soulancerre racecourse was founded on the former De Mazoyer lands, acquired in 1899 by Madame Arquie. The first race took place in 1901 on a longer track than today's. There are then two meetings per year, on Sundays. In 1932, François Arquie sold the land he had inherited. The young Léopold Prat, owner of a stable, bought the property. During the Second World War, horse racing ceased. They were relaunched in 1945, but no longer take place on Sundays, but on Tuesday, market day. A great success! The racecourse became the meeting place for the farmers of the region, the people taking the waters in Capvern, and the people from Biarritz who came by bus. The beautiful ones compete in elegance with their toilets designed by local seamstresses and their hats bought from the Miélan fashion designer. Leopold Prat's team rivals that of Ransou de Barran. And everyone meets in the evening at the restaurant.

The Gimat-Vic Fezensac racecourse is a must for horse racing fans in Vic-Fezensac. Located 1800 metres from the town center, in a green and shady setting, it offers a magnificent view of the Osse river to the east and the hills to the west and east. The bell tower of the village of Marambat can even be seen behind a clump of trees, giving this part of the Gers a rural feel. The racecourse has a 1,150-meter grass track, a straight rope, 14 boxes and 22 stalls. There's also a marquee for meals.

The Acacias-Vic en Bigorre racecourse in Tarbes is one of a kind. It is the only racecourse in the Hautes-Pyrénées, apart from Laloubère, to host gallop races. However, its future is uncertain and a solution must be found before the summer of 2012, failing which the racecourse risks closure. Meetings have already been held with various local players, such as the principal of Lycée Jean-Monnet and the farm manager, as well as representatives of the region and local landowners. The region considers that this matter should be handled by local authorities, and that the long-term future of the racecourse will depend on the financial and human resources required for its upkeep. Several avenues of financing are being explored, notably with the regional and national racecourse federations, as well as the Conseil du Cheval. Further meetings are planned to discuss a possible transfer of responsibilities.

Gourmets know that they've come to La Fine Mousse to taste, not eat!

Not far from the Criée, here is a young promising address, like an urban straw hut, which offers lively evenings. One comes to L'Aïoli to share tapas while sipping cocktails, craft beers or local wines. The menu is concocted from local products, from the earth, from the sea, with also vegetarian recipes. Pélardon des Cévennes, cod accras, gravlax of red tuna, feta and spinach samoussas, fish ceviche... On Sundays it's brunch and brasucade. DJ evenings also animate the summer season.

Very nice decoration and cosy atmosphere with a friendly welcome.

Close to the train station, this neighborhood address is a den for music lovers who don't take themselves seriously. When you enter the room, you discover a ceiling covered with panties and bras of all colors. At the back, a small stage hosts concerts of swing, rock, jazz, blues, reggae...
