René-François Le Bail is a former jouster reconverted in the art of the pavois of Sète. Now an authentic artist, this heritage and woodworking enthusiast makes pavois, i.e. wooden shields used by jousters during the Languedoc jousts. This craftsman works with driftwood from the Pyrenees, which he combines with rolled stones. Materials marked by time and in this way moving and poetic.
