Every year, this urban event allows you to visit free of charge sites in Nancy that are usually closed, such as the Brasseries de Maxéville. Since 1994, the Gérardmer International Fantastic Film Festival has been thrilling audiences with films based on the unreal, the marvelous and horror. It's a film genre that's found its audience, who turn out in droves to enjoy the scares. The festival's atmosphere is perfectly in tune with the surrounding landscapes of snow-covered fir trees and frozen lakes. But if the chills are present in the darkened halls, the atmosphere is joyful and particularly festive. Each year, the jury is made up of well-known personalities, and tributes are organized for the masters of the genre. The festival offers all kinds of screenings, as well as symposia, exhibitions and events... Its aura extends throughout the region, and during this period cinemas in Metz and Nancy offer a special "fantasy films" program.

The Voix du Monde international choral singing festival in Nancy is a major musical event that brings together choirs from all over the world every two years. In 2022, concerts and a grand closing evening took place. Since its creation in 1979, over 260 choirs from 63 different countries have taken part in the event. It's a festival of fraternity and exchange, with the special feature of artists and participants staying with local choir families. International choirs are already planned for 2024.

It is the story of a single monument in France: that of the church of Asfeld, to the singular baroque architecture evoking a violin of gambe, which is the rendez-vous of baroque music brought to the bues thanks to its exceptional framework for lovers of luth, theorina, floral flute, inspired singing and, of course, violin. The 10 th edition of the 10 th edition will be held in June 2018: concerts, toy salon, initiation to the violin of gambe… What to spend a very entertaining and rewarding weekend.

For the fifth edition, spring took its neighbourhoods. It's time for the Site site to host, during the last days of May, a festival of tendances trends mixed with pop, jazz, electro, funk, with some poster heads and many discoveries and surprises. This festival dedicated to comics has been going strong for 16 years. A weekend of book signings, meetings, workshops and activities for young and old alike. The festival gets up to date, with screen-printing workshops, digital tablet stands, and free exhibitions in the cellars or at the tourist office. Some twenty authors take part each year. On the program for this 2024 edition: Étienne Willem, Jean-Claude Denis and Elizabeth Holleville.

The Festival itinérant des arts du conte et du récit has been an eagerly-awaited event for over 20 years. For 7 weeks in autumn, professional storytellers criss-cross the region, meeting audiences in village halls, media libraries, schools and even in the great outdoors. It's a festival rich in emotions and discoveries that will delight young and old alike, with shows suitable for all ages. A great opportunity to discover the art of storytelling in all its forms.

The dark corridors of the Fort du Cognelot play host to the annual Witches' Festival, given that the Thivet and Chalindrey region has a reputation for witchcraft that is rarely disputed. For two days, visitors can enjoy a wide range of entertainment, including a witch's market, theatrical sketches, strolling musicians, jugglers, a witch's labyrinth, face painting for children, a trampoline... The atmosphere is atypical, between false fright and fun! The venue is decorated for the occasion. Everything is in place to celebrate the broom fairies!

Breaking away from music festivals, Tinta'mars puts forward the performing arts and has succeeded in developing over the years a real complicity with its audience through puppets, theater, circus, staging that plays with lights... Its programming for young people and all audiences is irresistible and off the beaten track! The excellent actors, but also the sets open the door to a whole world of dreams. We take as much pleasure in going through the scenes as in observing the sparkling eyes of the children, huddled together.

Every summer, the festival lights up the children's vacations for a few days in Maizières-lès-Metz. La Marelle, which has been running for over 17 years, gives youngsters the chance to discover over a dozen shows and take part in a variety of creative workshops (cooking, plastic arts, sensory garden, theater...). From burlesque to music; dance, puppetry or shadow theater: children will be thrilled. Every year, other events in the park are open to the public.

Since 1960, the municipal theatre has been well established in Lorraine. The hall offers the public a capacity of 1,000 seats, one of the largest in the region! The hall opens 30 minutes before the show and a free cloakroom is available for your convenience. A wide range of choices makes the theatre's programming one of the most diversified and interesting. Theatre but also opera, dance, comedy, shows for young audiences or variety shows are programmed to satisfy a large number of people. The theatre bar is open before and after the show. After its longstanding dedication to the discovery of South American music, the festival continues its encounters with talent from the world of classical music. The convent of Saint-Ulrich hosts the festival and organizes training courses and artist residencies around different themes. For example: young baroque musicians or young symphonists from Moselle.

In 2010, the Journées de l'architecture association became the Maison européenne de l'architecture-Rhin Supérieur Europaïsches Architekturhaus-Oberrhein. Conferences, tours, exhibitions, concerts, cinema: the Journées de l'architecture are held jointly throughout the Upper Rhine. This event is perfectly suited to Mulhouse, with its great diversity of architecture, particularly Mittel-Europa! Conferences and short films are also on the program.

Every spring for the past twenty years, world music fans have gathered at the Cercle Saint-Martin to attend this festival organized by the Lézard association. Over the course of a weekend, they discover groups with a wide variety of musical influences: klezmer, biguine, tango, jazz, flamenco... The mix of sounds is definitely there! Here's a chance to hear how "flamencoriental" sounds, or hip-hop mixed with electro and Balkan music... Whatever the case, it's sure to swing!

Laughing, giggling, giggling, laughing, hair pulling, wiggling, corkscrewing... There's no shortage of colourful expressions when it comes to expressing the action of laughing, and as such, the Colmar Humour Festival is an excellent opportunity to make your zygomatic work! In October 2020, this event signs its 8th edition with an excellent line-up: Inglorious Comedy Club presented by Vérino, Nora Hamzawi, Michaël Gregorio, Olivier de Benoist, not forgetting, on the opening night at the Casino Barrière in Ribeauvillé, the regional Antoinette de Knackwiller stage! To close these hairy festivities, a Professional Improvisation World Cup is organized on October 25th in the Wine Hall of the Parc Expo of Colmar. This is sure to trigger hilarity everywhere, because, as the late Jean-Marie Arrus, humorist and founder of the festival said: "He who sows laughter reaps gaiety"!

A not-to-be-missed spring event for over 20 years, this festival has been blossoming the buds of free expression, tolerance and fraternity. Organized by the association D'ailleurs D'ici, this good-natured event brings together Colmarians and the inhabitants of the surrounding area for a festive weekend full of surprises. Street theatre, various music, acrobats, circus, children's games, drawing, painting or modelling workshops led by professional artists, there really is something for all tastes and all ages. Another strong point of this intergenerational festival: the Village des Associations brings together about sixty organizations (cultural, humanitarian, immigrant, etc.) that invite you to travel through their craft, cultural or gastronomic specialties. In the heart of the Place Rapp and in the alleys of the Champ de Mars, it's a real popular festival without borders!

Created in 2003, this festival organized by the Colmarian association L'Esprit BD takes place during two days in the superb historical setting of the Koïfhus, in the heart of the old town. It welcomes about twenty comic book authors from Alsace, France and abroad, who willingly comply with signing sessions and drawing demonstrations. The public is invited to stroll through various stands offering comic strips and lithos (new or second-hand) as well as figurines, T-shirts and other merchandise. Thematic exhibitions complete this attractive programme. Enough to bubble with happiness!

Already known since 4 editions, the Brasseurs d'Alsace and the Eurométropole meet this time on the Quai des Bateliers for a stroll along the water to discover the 18 Alsatian breweries. Small catering and more than 60 beers offered. Musical activities are combined with the event to enjoy a good lather while listening to good sound. Free festival that lasts two days until 10pm. Possibility to discover new local beers that you did not know as well as the work of the brewers.
