A concert hall dedicated to contemporary music in Metz, the Boîte à Musiques (BAM), which can accommodate up to 1,115 people, is located in the heart of the Metz-Borny district. A modular venue, it also has a balcony that can accommodate 300 people. Its large, bright hall and its astonishing openings to the outside make it a unique and remarkable venue with architecture by Rudy Ricciotti. The philharmonic orchestra's programming is multi-faceted and open to all: chamber music, symphonic concerts, film-concert for young audiences, operas and even various workshops! Winner of the Victoires de la Musique and numerous other awards, the Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg is also the oldest philharmonic orchestra in France. Young conductor prodigy Aziz Shokhakimov took over the musical and artistic direction of the orchestra in September 2021, for a high-flying program, alongside the greatest soloists of our time.

The Illiade is the cultural centre of the town of Illkirch-Graffenstaden, whose programming is as good as that of any other big city. In this spacious and well-equipped hall, spectators can enjoy plays, comedy and musical performances, as well as cabaret and exhibitions. The Plume circus also presents its show. Located in a former 18th century farmhouse, Le Cheval Blanc is one of the main cultural venues in the town of Schiltigheim. Its hall can accommodate 170 spectators, its sound and light control system guarantees a good quality of performance. Throughout the year, plays, shows, concerts and film screenings are organised. This atypical, must-see venue is undergoing a major transformation! The challenges: the ecological need to make the building more efficient, but also to transform the spaces. It's true that, under the leadership of Thomas Ress, this third-party venue has become increasingly professional over the years. For almost 10 years now, a wind of renewal has been blowing through the building, with a much more advanced cultural program - and let's not hesitate to say it: a real performance hall! There are still over 150 leisure activities, a music school and a library.

Clément Meunier never slept was the title of his show. He is the happy initiator of this coffee-concert that welcomes people from the show, whether roded or not, to test their creations. With Aubois of birth, Clément offers an opening on the region, as well as an opportunity for the premises to occur. The Rhine National Opera enjoys a reputation that extends far beyond the borders of the region and France. The most discerning music lovers attend this cultural mecca, as do many neophytes. And for good reason, the Opera aims to welcome the most diverse audiences through communication actions and the most interesting pricing operations. Recitals and dance performances are as breathtaking as the operas, which take up the great classics and play with modernity.

With an average of 300 shows a year and over 20,000 spectators in its two small 70- and 100-seat auditoriums, La Chouc' remains one of Strasbourg's cultural hotspots. L'Autre Canal is the reference venue for contemporary music in Nancy. Created in 2007, this building with its bright red modern architecture is recognizable among thousands. The programming is very eclectic and for all ages. There are even shows for young children! With a large hall and a smaller one that can be used simultaneously, as well as workshops and studio rentals for budding artists, L'Autre Canal is a true music center that helps the idols of tomorrow to progress with the help of recognized professionals.

Since 1895… this date does not refer to a famous advertising for chocolate but to the creation, on the initiative of writer Maurice Pottecher, of the theatre of Bussang. The effect is similar: equally well founded!

Every summer except in times of war, shows were presented and were a feast for everyone's taste. The stage at the bottom of a barn, enlarged as it surrounds boxes and kitchen, has preserved the pioneer spirit of benches arranged in a simple way to "feed the people of the people" according to the wishes of its founder. Pierre Bein, the current director of the theatre, has in his hands a jewel and nuggets, young talent, amateur actors often trained by professionals for whom the experience of staging in Bussang remains etched. Here the pieces written by Molière, Hugo, Gogol, Renard, Shakespeare and many others have been played. The spectators are on schedule. It even seems that some have been coming for generations. Last winter, there was a mountain story, the Henry and Vincendon case in winter 1956 and conducted the tour of Christmas markets with a 12 minutes room for "average Western"!

Located near the campus and the Grillenbreit district, the Grillen is the contemporary music hall managed by the city of Colmar since 1998. Its capacity does not exceed 350 seats, the concerts remain intimate, far from the zeniths and the gigantic and impersonal halls. All musical styles are represented: pop, rock, punk, soul, metal, hardcore, garage, electro, experimental, rap, blues... Teachers from the conservatory also come to perform there and the hall is open to all associations wishing to organise alternative and festive evenings (notably Live!, After Dark, Hiéro Colmar, Hopla! Zone 51...) The Grillen also puts two rehearsal studios at the disposal of local bands who regularly have the opportunity to showcase their talent during opening acts. Be careful, don't arrive too late on concert evenings as the seats are free (and standing). To preserve your ears, Le Grillen provides earplugs and, in the interest of ecology, the bar's cups are consigned. Le Grillen also hosts very friendly improvisation match evenings and other events such as the jazz off festival. All you have to do is enjoy the concerts, massed in the crowd or in the adjoining bar!

The Comédie de l'Est has changed its name under the impetus of its new directors, Émilie Capliez and Matthieu Cruciani, who are keen to make its local roots more visible. It is now called the Comédie de Colmar. For the rest, the new Comédie de Colmar continues its mission of original creations and presentation of works from all over Europe: theater, opera, dance and shows for children. In a bid to make culture accessible to all, it regularly organizes workshops open to specific audiences.

From early music to contemporary music, the Opera presents masterpieces of the classical repertoire, a passionate repertoire and lyrical discoveries, to appeal to a wide audience. Labelled "National Opera" in 2006, it was restored in 1994 to recreate it as it was on the day of its inauguration in 1919, namely an Italian-style theater with boxes, balcony and galleries, a pastiche of an 18th century opera, created by the Alsatian Joseph Hanecker.

Majestic, sumptuous, time passes without tarnishing the theatre of La Sinne. It's a place from another era. In August 1992, the first evening took place in this industrial wasteland converted into a modern music scene. Recently installed in a former shopping mall in the center of Mulhouse, the new conservatory has breathed new life into these sleepy neighborhoods. The elegantly refurbished building has all the facilities needed to pass on the love of music. With a 300-seat auditorium and 7,000 m² of classrooms for over 100 disciplines, the new conservatory is ready to welcome budding musicians and others.
