Read moreTo welcome the TGV East, the train station in Strasbourg and its place have undergone a radical metamorphosis. It is now a larger station with more services that cater for occasional travelers or daily users.
Starting from Paris, the SNCF offers every day sixteen trips to direct TGV.
Since June 2007, the TGV East is Paris at 2 a. m. in Strasbourg. The completion of the high-speed line will reduce this journey time to 1 hour by 2015.

For an adult, the 2nd class ticket is from € 22 for a simple journey.
From Bordeaux, there are five daily TGV frequencies connecting Strasbourg live without change of train or passage to Paris. The journey time is 6 hours.
From Marseille, there are two direct journeys, one day in TGV, which lasts 6 hours 39 and one night in Coral Lunea that lasts about 10 hours. For journeys with correspondence, they will be via Paris or via Lyon. The TGV Rhine-Rhône line is under construction between Mulhouse and Dijon, meeting in 2011.
Thanks to the arrival of the TGV Rhine-Rhône, Strasbourg will only be 5 hours away from Marseille.
Other cities are connected to Strasbourg in direct TGV, such as Nantes - 5 hours 10 -, Rennes - 5 hours 15 -, and Lille - 3 hours 20 - or Champagne Ardenne TGV - 1 hour 50 - and Lorraine TGV - 1 hour 10.
