This bar is in fact also a microbrewery, brewing its own beers on site, so it has plenty of original choices. With 24 taps, 4 keg pumps and over 80 craft cans and bottles, it's a beer lover's paradise. Quite trendy and popular, the prices reflect this, but the products are of high quality and the atmosphere is friendly. There's a terrace overlooking the street, large kegs behind the counter and a decoration based on photos, statues, pennants and numerous bottles transformed into candleholders.

This delightful Victorian pub is one of our favorite places in the Lanes to come for a drink and some good music. It's one of the city's oldest establishments, and its dark, cosy interiors are very pleasant. Real ales and ciders are available, of course, and the food is pretty good too. The red sofas are particularly comfortable. If you're lucky enough to find them unoccupied, you'd be happy to stay all day. A classic, efficient pub with a festive atmosphere where you can mingle with the locals.

On the North Laine side, The Prince Albert is an institution, housed within a large house that single-handedly sums up Brighton's vibe: good beers and street art and live music. Its front was redone in 2017, while retaining the frescoes on its outside wall, featuring John Lennon, Amy Winehouse, Bob Marley and Michael Jackson alongside a famous Banksy depiction of two policemen kissing. Unfortunately, this is now a copy, the original painted here in 2004 having been sent to the USA to be sold.

Just a stone's throw from the station, but off the busy Queens Road, The Evening Star is one of Brighton's most popular pubs for fans of real ales. The birthplace of the Dark Star Brewing Co, the bar features several of its products, as well as a variety of beers from the rest of the country and even the world. There isn't much room, which contributes to the warm atmosphere in this all-wood decor. The Evening Star is a must for a pint in Brighton after a day of sightseeing.

With nearly thirty beers on tap and a central location, Maypole is definitely a great place to come and sample the region's real ales. There's also a gin bar on site! There are two basement rooms and a beer garden. Italian-influenced dishes include pizzas, lasagne and risottos. It's an authentic bar run by the same Italian family for over 30 years. An address worth supporting in the face of the chains that are buying up most English pubs.

This pretty, popular pub, well-known to locals with its garden, offers 14 real alesat the counter, mainly from British microbreweries. The bar is large enough with its jadrin for everyone to find room. The same family runs two other pubs in Cambridge: The Royal Standard and The Blue Moon.

One of Cambridge's most famous pubs with certainly the most beautiful view and the best location. We go there especially for its incredible terrace and view of the Cam River, and for its wide choice of beers. Be careful, around 10pm the waiters ask you - more or less sympathetically - to come inside. To be tested in the early evening so that you can fully enjoy the setting, just on the banks of the river. And on sunny days. It is said that Syd Barrett, from the Pink Floyd, was a regular at the bar. He even played it.

Hidden beneath the arches of Hackney Central station is one of the East's largest terraces, tropical bars and nightclubs, covering almost 10,000^m2. It's the perfect place to spend a sunny evening, with a sublime cocktail bar and a large beer garden. At night, you can take refuge inside, where a variety of DJs await you. We particularly recommend their Night Tales and Origins evenings, where we've had the pleasure of seeing the likes of Legowelt, Carista, DJ Bone, Mafalda and many others.

Camellia's Tea House is a café and tearoom specializing in English teas and cakes. It offers a wide selection of teas, with advice tailored to each pastry. Customers can also buy tea to take away. The tea room has a calm atmosphere and the service is friendly. Customers particularly appreciate the scones, lemon cheesecakes and various pastries on offer. Customer reviews are generally positive, highlighting the quality of the teas and pastries, as well as the pleasant atmosphere.

Actors, writers, artists and intellectuals mingle, chat and share a moment over a glass of wine or even a glass of champagne. It's even said that General de Gaulle came here to drink his beer during the Resistance. A bar renowned for its very French spirit. There are no telephones or TVs here, and little or no music! For a cinema experience like no other, the Peckhamplex is the place to be. You'll see everything, and the theaters are always full, but above all, the atmosphere is just right. The audience is always applauding, commenting and gesticulating in response to the film, and you're sure to enjoy a rare moment of cinematic conviviality. The fixed ticket price means that everyone can enjoy the latest films, as well as giant servings of popcorn and American-style soda! A great option for rainy evenings.

This Art Deco-style independent cinema has been in existence since 1909. It's a Dalston institution. It was recently named one of London's best cinemas by the famous Daily Telegraph. The program is eclectic, ranging from small arthouse films to major productions for the general public, and from foreign to British films. There are usually two films a week. Festivals are also held here. The café is a pleasant place to stop off before or after a screening.

Affectionately nicknamed the Coronation Tap by the locals, this discreet bar is the place to go for good cider and beer in Clifton. Cider, a regional specialty, takes pride of place here, and several varieties can be tasted in the company of regulars and students who particularly appreciate the place. In St Ives since the ^18th century, The Castle Inn is a beer pub that will delight fans of real ales, with several different choices at the counter and an atmosphere that couldn't be more traditional. Once through the door, old stone and panelling dominate, and the superb room under the vaulted ceiling is not to be missed. A little out of the way east of the center, but now a Bournemouth staple, this micro-pub is a welcome stop for beer and cider enthusiasts, with an average of twenty different options to choose from. All the beers and ciders served here come from small, independent breweries. Slightly off-center in the north of the city, The Wyndham Arms is the birthplace of Hop Back Brewery and remains year after year undeniably one of the region's finest pubs. The building and its interiors date back to the late ^19th century, and very little has changed since then. There's a choice of seven different beers, which are regularly renewed. A cosy pub on the north side of North Laine, The White Rabbit is a city institution, a great place to relax and chat over a beer during the day, or meet up with friends for an evening out. The Craft Beer Co is a Brighton beer mecca, this beige and brown corner house housing a pub that has nothing left to prove in the city. During the week, a variety of not-to-be-missed parties are organized, such as their Monday jam and Wednesday roller disco. The program focuses on jungle and garage, emblematic genres of the capital's underground scene. A local experience! On weekends, renowned musicians and DJs liven up the club with high energy until the wee hours.

The name comes from its vocation to host readings, debates and other conferences on a variety of themes. The chic and trendy address in Notting Hill par excellence! Clear and refined decoration, a touch of retro, mostly French-speaking waitresses and waitresses and an elegant and cheerful clientele. This is one of Oxford's oldest pubs. After all, it's been a public house since the ^16th century! Local legend has it that Shakespeare was a regular visitor to the university town. The establishment has changed name and been reconfigured several times over the centuries, but has a palpable soul. It's extremely pleasant to walk through the arch and narrow alleyway to this former farmhouse and sit at one of its outdoor tables or barrels.

Brown's Hotel serves one of London's most famous afternoon teas. It's a true Brixton institution. The programming focuses on the big films of the moment, as well as small independent productions. The staff are super friendly, which doesn't hurt. The cinema also offers the possibility of eating in, before or after the film.

A cultural center offering a truly eclectic program of theater, dance, circus, music and slam... The Roundhouse is, as its name suggests, a beautiful, round building. The programming is very rich and promotes both renowned artists such as Smokey Robinson or Nouvelle Vague and young unknowns in France. You can also enjoy the bar and outdoor terrace. Not to be missed! In the past, the venue played host to the Doors and Pink Floyd in their early days.
