The multimedia cultural centre replaced the municipal library on the first floor of the City Hall. This space is the result of a remarkable rehabilitation of the old abbey mill, the big tower. 1 000 m 2 is spread over 4 levels, three of which are open to the public. A great deal of clarity floods these 3 spaces with small lounges overlooking the garden. The multimedia cultural centre retains the old fund, rich in about 11 000 books: beautiful editions of Byzantine historians, stories of illustrated travel, superb documents of natural sciences and rare music. The old and contemporary local fund makes it possible to search the city and the Norman region. The adult and youth public reading fund is rich in about 15 000 books. In addition, there are multimedia posts that allow for the consultation of CD-roms and access to cultural or documentary websites, in ADSL technology.

Opened in 2002, media library welcomes more than 4,000 subscribers and offers them nearly 100,000 documents: books, newspapers, video, or CD-ROM. Rental and consultation on site. Numerous exhibitions and conferences (in an auditorium with 70 seats), are available free of charge and free. Finally, the electronic library of Lisieux offers free reading of the hundreds of works that can be downloaded from its website.

The Maison des Arts is the main cultural center of La Glacerie, grouping together the Louis Lansonneur media library and the Théâtre des Miroirs. The first one allows to borrow CDs, DVDs, books or magazines. The second one offers an eclectic program: from burlesque to dance through song, there are many good reasons to make a cultural detour through the heights of the agglomeration!
