Where to climb Normandy

The local relief allows climbing enthusiasts to indulge their passion. To reach it, from the centre of Mortain, you take the direction of the Petite Cascade to reach this site which offers a dozen routes from level 4 to level 7. The Gobi crack which rises along the Aiguille de Mortain has made the reputation of this site where many amateurs come. In the sixties, this famous crack would have seen great names such as Lionel Terray and René Desmaisons pass by: it's up to you to become their worthy descendants!

La Fosse-Arthour is one of the best known and most popular climbing sites in the Normandy bocage. This very hard sandstone bar offers a pleasant climb in this listed natural site. 160 routes are equipped with varying degrees of difficulty depending on your level - and your abilities! Slabs, cracks, edges, overhangs, you will find all types of climbing. Don't hesitate to contact the Avranchin climbing club for more information!

For climbing enthusiasts, don't miss out on the 1,400 m² dedicated to climbing! Open to young and old, enthusiasts and beginners, you will discover a multitude of walls and boulders to try your hand at this sensational sport. Breathtaking lines (10 m high!), an area dedicated to children, Fun Climbing workshops, all in a bright and colorful universe. Want to train for this Olympic sport? Courses for all ages are given. To finish off the day, a sauna and a small restaurant are available!

You can climb freely and learn about the laws of gravity, take lessons and benefit from the advice of our instructors. The spacious venue, located on the banks of the Seine, offers several climbing routes for all levels. This all-round sport challenges every muscle in the body and requires a great deal of thought. Ideal for regaining self-confidence or having a good time with family and friends. As for the canteen, the burgers are generous and the food homemade!

At the exit of Clécy, the spectacular via ferrata of the Cambronnerie awaits the enthusiasts of strong sensations! Do you want to gain some height? You will be spoiled! "Vertig' is there to help you cross the rocky escarpments of a cliff along a 250-metre course, i.e. a 70-metre difference in level at a height of 50 metres. You are not equipped? There is everything on site. Also, for the most courageous, a giant zip line of 400 metres (from 8 years old) for a descent at 70 km/h with a breathtaking view over the valley of the Orne. Superb!
