With some 1,600 students, 105 teachers in 41 disciplines, almost 200 free events each season, 46 classrooms, 3 dance studios, 15 studios for students to work in, 2 auditoriums and a documentation center, the Conservatoire de Caen offers a wide range of artistic disciplines from the age of 6. With registration or an entrance exam, you can progress through different courses right up to the final diploma. The Conservatoire is also home to the Orchestre de Caen and the Saison Musicale.

In a city where about 40% of the population of Breton origin, a quality kemper was required! This has been the case for many years, and with Kemper Wow Vfm, renamed in 1989. For evidence: last September, two young traditional from Le Havre ended up champions of Brittany category koz under 20! The whole of 25 instructors are taking place on a regular basis, at Le Havre, but beyond the Normandes and Breton borders.

Association for the Promotion of Chamber Music, Resonances organizes concerts every year. With cellist Marc Coppey as guest guest this year, the cello is necessarily highlighted. The musical expression centre is a true rock school focusing exclusively on contemporary music. Instruments and workshops courses, musical awakening courses for children, rehearsal facilities available to musicians are part of its activities. The Assoce registration studio received sizes such as Elliott Murphy, Little Bob or Les.

A new building on the Republic's course, next to the university, welcomes the many students who come here to take courses in music, singing, dance and drama. In the Tournemire rooms and Henry-Woollett auditorium, recitals take place throughout the season.

Yvette Horner has her fans, proof of this Harmony Havre, which brings together a group of musicians who, more than playing in the feasts and balls, convey his passion and knowledge to the curious young people who want to get started.

Created in 1960 by jazz amateurs, the Jupo offers instrumental training - battery, clarinet, guitar, piano… - open to children. There are also various workshops - initiation to jazz and music, big band, wander… - and you can do holidays animated by jazz professional musicians and jazz music.

Influenced by Brazil and its lively rhythms, Corcovado, Groupe Group, plays the samba and animates outdoor festivals or street parades with colourful costumes.

The conservatory is a must for anyone wishing to pursue a career in music, dance or theatre. The school welcomes nearly 1,300 students a year, divided between traditional evening classes and the timetabled curriculum created at the Collège Fontenelle and the Lycée Jeanne-d'Arc. The public can attend student auditions and, at the end of each year, the end-of-study show, as well as concerts organised throughout the year. Be careful, the selection at the entrance is difficult. But the result is there!
