Come discover the flavors of freshly ground coffee at Caffè Gufo. The owner, Jean-Baptiste Legouge, who is passionate about roasting, is happy to tell customers about the secrets of making coffee. Located on rue de la Chouette, a stone's throw from the Square des Ducs, it's an opportunity to take a short break on the terrace to taste local and natural coffees, like those found at the Caféothèque in Paris. The menu is renewed every three weeks and the espresso, whether lungo or ristretto, costs two euros. The icing on the cake is that the house offers green coffee and infusions made from coffee cherries. In early 2024, La Billebaude, Givry's flagship address, closed its restaurant section to focus solely on its beer bar side. From now on, the entire establishment will become a beer and wine bar. Bruno Fabris, the owner, has decided to offer a small number of wines, but to rotate the references, partly from the Givry appellation. As for beers, a hundred or so mousses, mostly from Belgium, are still on the menu.

L'Espace des Arts, well known to the people of Chalonnais, has been a Scène nationale since 2006. This designer couple chose to settle in this corner of the Yonne to create their decorative objects, which can be purchased in their beautiful boutique while you relax over a coffee. The team at Le Galopin, just a stone's throw away, has just taken over this beautiful location in the heart of the pedestrian district. An emblematic downtown location, and a café where you can also enjoy tasty guédilles, typically North American sandwiches made with hot dog bread. The best-known? The lobster roll.
