TOTTOI TRATTO DRINKERIA
Read moreA beautiful discovery in the heart of the village. From the outside, it looks like a village bar with a small terrace where the regulars chat, but as soon as you push the door open, you discover a real place dedicated to bistronomic cuisine. Sandwiches, platters or tapas-style dishes, the quality is equal and the portions are generous. The owner is adorable and is happy to tell you about the origin of his products, his commitment to "km zero" (i.e. the short circuit) and is also a fine wine connoisseur. And in the evening, there are concerts. Great!
OSTERIA VINERIA CIBUS
Read moreWe fell in love with this address in Santadi, where a dedicated staff welcomes you in a pleasant garden. The menu honours both the flavours of the land and the sea as well as local producers. So make your choice between cheese and sausage antipasti or fish and shellfish antipasti, a dish of fregola with mussels or grilled fish, seadas covered with honey or a hazelnut and chocolate ice-cream parfait. Pizza lovers won't be disappointed, as the chef prepares pizza only in the evening.
RISTORANTE SANTA BARBARA
Read moreThe best restaurant in Villagrande! An address well known by the locals who did not fail to indicate it to us. The restaurant is located at the entrance of the park of the same name which is worth a visit. But let's go back to the table. In this inn, we like the simplicity, the warm and mountainous atmosphere and especially the quality of the products in the plate. The owner is modest but he knows how to cook like a chef and will surprise you if you leave the traditional suckling pigs or sheep stews. A beautiful address which seduced us.
RISTORANTE CALA PEDRISCHEDDA
Read moreGrilled fish, pizzas and seafood are on the menu of this friendly restaurant located at the entrance of the small village of Portixeddu. Its added value lies in the large and beautiful terrace where you can enjoy the landscape and admire beautiful sunsets. The sea is just across the road. The regulars suggest trying the antipasto di mare, based on fish and seafood, depending on the day's catch.
RISTORANTE SAN NICOLÒ
Read moreOpened by a former miner and his family, this beautiful restaurant overlooking the beach of San Nicolò serves traditional cuisine with a creative touch. Among the fish and meat specialities, you will find the artichoke and bottarga salad as a starter, the fish fry and the inevitable seafood fregola. The pizzas are only available in the evening, as they are cooked over a wood fire. Two beautiful verandas open straight onto the sea, so you can enjoy the beautiful summer evenings in a relaxed atmosphere.
906 OPERAIO
Read moreThis absolutely surreal address is well worth a stop. Along the promenade of the Nebida belvedere opens a wonderful terrace with a view of the sea and the Pan di Zucchero rock in the distance. The kitchens take place in what was the explosive depot of the old mines, while the tables are spread out on the shady promenade. Pizza is the great speciality here, but you can stop for a drink. 906 Operaio pays homage to the miners who died in the 1906 revolt protesting against inhuman working conditions.
PISCIN'E JANAS
Read morePiscin'e Janas is a country inn that offers a typical cuisine that respects the traditions of the Ogliastra. On summer evenings, you can dine on the terrace under the lanterns and in front of the large garden with the donkey Biondo and the mare Steddada. This family-run restaurant insists on the ultra local, the zero mile: Pistoccu and Turredda breads baked in the wood-fired oven, fresh Culurgiones and Strangulaus pasta, goat and pork meat from Baunei, cheeses from local shepherds. We love the spirit of the house. We love it!
