Experience the excesses and splendour of the Age of Enlightenment in this vast park at française  ! It was here that Saint-Simon retired to write most of his memoirs. Parks and gardens, canals and waterways, openings and perspectives make up a fascinating landscape steeped in history. Here feelings of grandeur and decadence mingle with modesty, so much the weight of the place crushes you and elevates you. A romantic ruin set in the middle of all perspectives, the colossal neoclassical castle was decorated by the greatest artists of the time. Designed by the Marquis de Laborde, great financier and banker at the court of King Louis XV, it is displayed on 160 m which have not lost any of their former splendour.

As an annex to the Tourist Office, the Maison du Saumon is one of the oldest buildings in Chartres. Why this strange name? Because before, it was on this place that the fish was sold, as evidenced by the salmon carved in the wood, on the facade of the imposing half-timbered building. Now the tourist office has created a didactic area where you can watch movies on Chartres on the ground floor, visit temporary exhibitions on the first floor, or attend seminars and conferences on the second floor. Saint-Maur is a town at the gateway to the Brenne Park in the Berry region. The Écuries de Laleuf, located on the farm, offer year-round boarding for horses. Horses have access to 115 hectares of meadows and are supplemented with hay and flattened barley. Facilities include a clubhouse, a proprietary tack room, a round pen, riding arenas and a varied terrain course. Attractive rates are available for riding lessons and rides for owners. The Écuries de Laleuf also board retired horses and breeding stock. Prophylaxis is managed in agreement with the owner. The Seillant mill, recently restored, is a beautiful site on the edge of the Anglin. He is the headquarters of the Association for Heritage and Rural Landscapes. There are conferences on local heritage (historical and natural). Training is also offered on crafts, garden, landscape and heritage. The place is preserved: It is an enchanting site with its rocks, trees, old bridge and mill. It is the starting point for a beautiful hike that leads you to the Château de Brosse through paths lined with lively hedges. Watch out, hiking is quite sporty.

Philippe Sautereau offers his agricultural activity for walks in carriage. These walks can be done in a 5 km circle or around the farm or in any other place. Its various teams can animate a party or local event like a Christmas market. But it is of course for weddings that his benefit is most appreciated to drive the bride to the church and precede the procession.

The Bourges green ring road is a 5.4 km itinerary around Lac d'Auron, offering visitors the chance to stroll in a natural setting. The greenway also connects various parts of the town, encouraging the use of soft means of transport. Secondary links complete the network. Wherever possible, the green ring road passes through natural areas, offering a pleasant and relaxing walking experience.

The lime and its manufacturing secrets are quite unknown. The Chabrolles heritage site is an opportunity to fill these gaps. Visitors will be able to discover during a visit all the steps necessary for the manufacture of lime, these steps having been made on the site until 1934. How are we going from limestone to lime? The answer will be given during the visit.

The tourist office offers guided tours throughout the year. According to the theme you have chosen, you will be able to visit the ruins of the castle, explore the picturesque streets, visit the religious buildings and even understand the role of Lavardin in the Second World War.

This hiking trail in the town of Chartres proposes you to discover this ancient fortified camp from the edge of the Loir. The walk begins on the 18-October square, from which you will descend to the river through the Revol Fountain and cave dwellings on the rue des Fouleries. You will then pass through the first course of the Loir to visit the island of Chemars, from where you can enjoy the view of the castle. You will return to the city by the Jardin des Grands-Moulins and the famous 200 steps of the Saint-Pierre descent, where the lavandières were drying their linen.

In the saddle! This time we will take you around the ponds of Aubigny-sur-Nère. Climb your car to the sports park of the commune and follow the markup: It will take you first to the two water plans, then you will go through the RD 7. You will then longerez the Nère over a few kilometres, before crossing it shortly after the mill du Bois. Your journey leads you to the hamlet of the Forts. Always follow the indications: You will soon come to the RD 940 and see the Velluets. Finally take the direction of the Maltournée, the last step before you return to the port.

You may know Nancay for his sandenews (gourmets!) or for his radiotelescope, the fourth in the world. But did you know that this vast commune of Sologne was also a paradise for hiking? If you still doubt it, we invite you to put yourself in legs with this short walk. Easily accessible, it is particularly recommended for families. It also has the advantage of combining nature and culture: you will discover the castle of the village. Built in the xiith century, it was rebuilt between the xve and sixteenth centuries and restored again in 1855. Today, many architectural elements are included in the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments.
