The Académie d'Orléans-Tours is an administrative district of the French Ministry of Education. It covers the territory of the six départements of the Centre-Val de Loire region. Created in 1962, it comprises six departmental services and 46 districts. The current rector of the Académie is Gilles Halbout. The Académie d'Orléans-Tours is responsible for the organization of examinations in the region, including registration, results and diploma collection.

It also facilitates access to resources through a public writer service, an Internet point and the organization of clothing fairs. Involved at local level, it represents the interests of families in local, departmental and regional bodies, and takes part in charitable actions. All in all, an indispensable support for families in the region.

The CROUS, or Centre Régional des oeuvres Universitaires et Scolaires, is the reference establishment for all students in the Orleans-Tours academy. Student grants, housing in university residences, university restaurants, but also a cultural service which proposes the Student Cultural Passport (the famous PCE!), or social assistants... If you are a student, with or without a grant, the CROUS offers you its help to improve your living and working conditions. The Maison des Adolescents d'Orléans offers an essential service to young people and their families. This preventive mental health center welcomes adolescents and young adults in need of support quickly, free of charge and unconditionally. The multidisciplinary team carefully assesses each situation and offers personalized support, either in-house or through referral to expert services. The aim is always to promote the young person's well-being, helping him or her to overcome the difficulties that stand in the way of self-fulfilment. The center offers a gateway for those going through a complicated period in their lives.

You're young and you don't yet know what you want to do in life? Don't worry, you're not alone. The IOC team is here to welcome you and guide you. On site, you have access to a documentation room with a large number of paper tools to help you see more clearly (files, magazines, job descriptions, etc.). But the best thing is to ask to be received by a guidance counsellor-psychologist, free of charge, so that you can feel accompanied, supported and advised. The interviews are confidential. Orientation forums and career conferences are held regularly throughout the year, which makes it possible to go through all the professions in one day.
