ESPACE MALRAUX
Read moreSince its opening in 1989, the Espace Malraux has become a major performance venue in the city of Tours, with its auditorium and the Salle Plisson for smaller events. This success is the result of a varied and high quality program with renowned artists and emerging companies. The program includes dance, theater, music, and children's shows, with Sunday appointments this year. The hall also hosts private productions that complete the program. Comfortable seats and good visibility on the stage do not spoil the fun! A little bonus: before each show, there is a concert in the hall.
LA PLEIADE
Read moreEclectic and quality programming at this performance hall located in the heart of the city of La Riche, which does not play the star-system card. Here, dance, theatre, circus arts and music are mixed together. The new programmer Thomas Lourenço even adds humour to the mix. Collaborative projects, amateur or professional, and moments for young audiences feed a rich season open to all. A space dedicated to creation, the theatre also welcomes companies in residence, which the public meets during the free "Fenêtres sur Cour" evenings. The program often plays the card of the discovery of contemporary creation, far from the star system. And in June, the Itinéraires Bis festival closes the season with street arts and concerts.

THÉÂTRE EN PIÈCES
Read moreOver the past thirty years, the Théâtre en Pièces company has become a fixture on the Chartres cultural scene, and with good reason. The company regularly presents readings, performances, debates and exhibitions in its charmingly cramped Théâtre de Poche at the Abbeyes Saint-Brice and at the new OFF theater in Chartres. While the Théâtre de Poche's location is a little off the beaten track from the city center, its rich and often engaging program is well worth the detour. An unforgettable experience guaranteed. What's more, if you live in or near Chartres, if you like theater, if you'd like to go further and take classes, you should know that the theater school, supervised by professional actors, offers workshops all year round, for young and old alike, provided they are rigorous and available: personal commitment required!
ESPACE SOUTINE

These shows will not leave you indifferent and may give you a little glow in the heart…

It must be said that with its 10 000m2, the place can receive 4 000 to 12 000 spectators! Of course, with the Covid, it was not often opened these last months... We are therefore looking forward to the big concerts, but also to the fairs and exhibitions organized in the whole Parc Expo. Wedding show, car show, Ferme Expo, Japan Expo, Holiday on Ice... There's plenty to do in an agenda that's starting to fill up for 2022-2023: to make sure you don't miss anything, head to the Tours Events website.

The National Choreographic Center of Tours, directed since 2012 by the dancer-choreographer Thomas Lebrun, is dedicated to welcoming companies from here and elsewhere for work sessions and public performances. Each year, the CCNT also organizes the Tours d'Horizons festival in June, with various choreographic proposals in theatres of the metropolis and atypical places (museum of fine arts, cloister of the Psalette...). Sweeping the whole range of current contemporary dance, the programming of the festival as well as the hall is aimed at the initiated, but also at neophytes. Our smart recommendation: take advantage of the free "Curious Hours". 30 minutes of dance and 30 minutes of exchange between the public and the artists, an ideal formula to enter this universe! And in two years, we'll be moving to a brand new building in the Casernes district, to take even better advantage of this cultural offer.
