Part children's bookshop, part tearoom, part patisserie, this atypical boutique transports you into a warm atmosphere. Guided by the tempting scent of delicious pastries, you'll discover a selection of children's books as well as young local designers. There's also a dedicated children's area, where children can read and play, and a small workshop for the gourmet storytelling sessions Anne regularly organizes. LA BAR À MINES

Lovers of very drunk parties, don't limit yourself to the primary meaning of this bar. You will have understood to which common expression we are referring, but before we stick one on, this is a place to admire the work of the pencil... in front of a pint or a glass of rum of course! Here Thomas and Sylvain have completed one of the pieces of the puzzle already in place in the Saint Hélier district: the world of comics. There were already a few stalls dedicated to the genre, but not of this type! Here the independent comics and the fanzine are enjoyed with a slice of sausage and a beer, because there are things that are more beautiful when you live them together! Enter the den and you will understand when the walls lined with comic book boards reveal themselves before you. Your visit will be punctuated by the discovery of a universe between art, literature and street art: a counter surmounted by a mechanical shooter straight out of the steampunk universe, toilets and an inner courtyard lined with frescoes and graffiti, a fanzinothèque and comic book library corner like a boudoir for the most absorbed, and works exhibited all around you. A program of autographs and artistic performances will brighten up your evenings. A concept to water body, heart and mind!

LE CAFÉ DE LA PENTE

Bar and caf

Café de la Pente, aka Le Pot commun, is a place full of alternative and local culture. It is an associative café that aims to involve the population in its actions and to allow as many people as possible to have access to cultural events thanks to a reasonable price. A space conducive to exchanges, which is also a place for concerts, meetings-debates, exhibitions, storytelling evenings, public readings and performances as well as an artists' residence. A nugget of conviviality in a retro guinguette atmosphere, ideal for oxygenating the head.

What an incongruous name... But don't be mistaken... it is the place of relaxation and meetings that all the Pontecrucians were waiting for. Barely opened, it has conquered the hearts of the inhabitants of the region, for its excellent choice of books, but also for its delicious home-made pastries. Located in the former prison of the upper town, this bookshop café also offers exhibitions. It is the place to take a break after walking through the beautiful streets of this city of character, or after a hike along the Goyen.

DE L'ENCRE À L'ÉCRAN

Caf philo et littraire

More than a bookshop, it is a meeting place. Created by a Belgian couple who fell in love with the Bigouden country, this café has added to the already rich commercial offer of the city. You will find all kinds of films, but with a strong preference for works related to cinema. In partnership with the cinema of Kérity, exchanges are proposed all year long. Thus you can attend a concert, meet an author or debate around a theme. The menu offers coffee and tea, organic wines, local and Belgian beers and snacks.

Isolated in central Brittany, Huelgoat attracts many visitors all year round. And deservedly so, given its rich heritage. Did you know? Jack Kerouac, the leading writer of the Beat Generation, had distant origins in the Huelgoat region. It's only natural that this café-library should pay tribute to him by adopting the title of his most famous book. Victor Segalen is another literary figure with links to the commune. Come and discover these two authors, as well as many others, at this café-library.
