All styles of music, propelled by local production companies, pass through the mythical Salle du Vauban, which is over 50 years old! While the hotel and bar-brasserie overlooking it have undergone successive renovations, the concert hall has remained the same since 1962, with its retro mosaics and old posters of stars... But make no mistake, it's a lively place! An estimated 150 concerts are held here every year! In fact, the hall and bar have played host to a host of music and film stars. Initiated by the Scène Nationale de Brest team, Le Quartz's artistic activities have confirmed its reputation as a cultural hub for the region, propelling it into the top tier of national stages in France (outside Paris). Located right in the heart of the city, this major arts venue covers an area of 20,000 m² and houses two theaters, one of which seats 1,500, a 400 m² exhibition gallery, and function rooms seating up to 350. Le Quartz's programming is eclectic and multicultural: theatrical performances rub shoulders with dance and circus shows. There are also classical, jazz and world music concerts, as well as major exhibitions. Le Quartz welcomes virtuosos and renowned talents. Visit the Tara Inn for great pleasures. This real Irish pub in the harbour, is an ideal address. Around a pint of Guinness, O'Hara, or Ermine, Tara invites at its Irish sessions evry first Friday of the month, at fest deiz every first Sunday of the month after 3pm and the fest noz every Monday from 9pm. Unless you can't visit unannounced during concerts! But every day, inside or on the terrace, a warm and friendly atmosphere is guaranteed, and complete change of scenery. Also note that Tara Inn offers a dish of the day at 8 € and some dishes at lunchtime during the week.

Housed in a brand-new building straddling the Cleunay and Courrouze districts, the Antipode is no half-measure. Its imposing monolithic structure includes two concert halls, one of which can accommodate up to 900 people, a creative workshop, rehearsal studios, spaces dedicated to artistic practice... and even a library. The history of this MJC is deeply rooted in the Cleunay district. A veritable institution in Rennes, the Antipode focuses on contemporary music and offers a wide variety of programming, including rock, rap, soul, pop, jazz, electro, hip-hop and metal, as well as a program dedicated to young audiences.

The Arvor cinema has been given a makeover in early 2021 by moving into one of the three Identity towers located directly next to the train station. It now has 5 rooms, the largest of which can accommodate up to 340 spectators. While keeping its Art et Essai programming line, this new Arvor will be able to offer more films and therefore expose (and enhance) the diversity of independent cinema. It is also easier to organize events and special evenings: debates, meetings, previews, thematic programs... as well as the now famous Sunday Night Film (once or twice a month), which is an opportunity to see or re-see on the big screen a lovingly selected cult film. The reception, with its decoration made of visible raw materials (wood, concrete columns...) also has a coffee area to wait pleasantly before a film or to debrief passionately with friends at the end of a session.

Le Zygo Comédie opened its doors in 2016 in the heart of Vannes. Its 150-seat auditorium welcomes you all year round, with a program that gives pride of place to comedies (80% comedies, 20% one-offs), not forgetting the children's shows scheduled during the school vacations. A sumptuous liner stranded in the heart of Brest, this building is a lovely nod to the maritime city. An evolving infrastructure, it houses a multifunctional hall dedicated to hosting shows, concerts and sporting events. Formerly located in the city center, Le Bacchus café-théâtre has been given a new lease of life by the water. Housed in a wood, glass and steel building on the banks of the Vilaine River, Rennes' legendary café-théâtre has retained its intimate atmosphere, and is as pleasant for a drink as it is for a show. We're happy to share a board with a glass of wine (or more, as Le Bacchus is also a restaurant). While the great comedians and up-and-coming talents get their kicks performing here, on the spectators' side, our zygomatic muscles get a workout at every show.

A charm of yesteryear hovers when you go to this cinema located in the center of town, a few steps from the beach. It has two rooms with digital image and sound (3D). In room 1, there are 268 seats with digital sound, 12-meter screen. In room 2, there are 122 seats with digital sound, 7 meter screen. The theaters are also equipped with assistive devices for deaf and hard of hearing spectators and audio description. The establishment is part of the French Association of Art Cinemas. The history of the TNB began in 1949. Formerly the Centre Dramatique de l'Ouest and the Maison de la Culture, the two structures merged to become this major theater venue with a fine national reputation. Directed by Arthur Nauzyciel, the TNB is a Centre Européen de Création Théâtrale et Chorégraphique, with a cinema and a École Supérieure d'Art Dramatique. The director is surrounded by some twenty associate artists, including Julie Duclos, Vincent Macaigne, Keren Ann and Mohamed El Khatib, all of whom contribute to the richness of the programming, which has nothing to envy the major Parisian theaters. Festivals are also on offer, as are encounters, performances and concerts.
