LA CARÈNE
Read moreNow emblematic of Brest, this space welcomes both local and internationally renowned artists. With its two concert halls, a bar open during coffee-concerts, a MAO recording studio and 6 rehearsal studios, this complex is a unique venue with exceptional acoustics. But La Carène also offers concerts for young audiences, musical challenges, artists in residence and workshop proposals. Please note: from October to June, La Carène offers a free lunch-concert on the first Wednesday of the month.
ANTIPODE MJC

L’UBU

LE MEM

Read moreWith its 9 hectares of total surface area, including 14 000 m ² of covered surface and 8 hectares in open air, the Penfeld exhibition Centre can accommodate up to 12 000 people. There is also a parking space of 3 500 places for the very many visitors. You can come here for a living room (from habitat, wine and gastronomy, leisure vehicles, etc.), but also for an exhibition, show or concert, a general assembly, a congress… Here the space is adjustable and everything is possible! LA NOUVELLE VAGUE

The space is divided into two rooms: a large room of 920 places including 180 seats and a club of 180 places where are welcomed open stages, cinemas concert, small intimate evenings during the week, most often on Thursday and free. It opens onto the smoking area, a terrace in the open air that is appreciated on summer evenings. La Nouvelle Vague also has four rehearsal and recording studios, with several sound systems and good acoustic equipment, and two dressing rooms.

Read moreSince 1996, the association MAPL (Musiques Au Pays de Lorient) promotes the current music. At its Merville premises, it continues to host local groups to repeat. The cafeteria is a convivial meeting place where small concerts are given (e. g. electronic music) and where art exhibitions are planned. MAPL also continues its programming work with concerts almost every weekend at the Manège. Some are organised in collaboration with associations of the Country of Lorient and there are really for all tastes (rock, metal, French song, world music, reggae, rap, electro…).
