In this restaurant, the customer chooses from the riches provided by the sea: shellfish, sea urchins, fish of all shapes and colours, crustaceans... Here, Cantonese cuisine is sublimated by the chefs. On the menu: corn velouté with braised pork, tomato and beef soup and a wide choice of vegetables (spinach, seaweed, mushrooms...). Noodles are also the main course and tofu is used in many dishes. Special menus for dinner, to be enjoyed as a couple, are available (the range rises according to the price).

Bistro atmosphere for this French brasserie. Terrace. Good food: salads, fish, onion soup, carpaccio with truffle oil, homemade duck rillettes, not forgetting the nice platters of French cheeses and the tasty desserts. Nice selection of wines (normal, the restaurant is also a wine bar). A good address for lunch or dinner. The site has an interesting history: the restaurant is located in the former opium refinery of the colonial era. The courtyard now houses some excellent restaurants.

This small, modern and elegant establishment has a lot going for it. Firstly, the dining room is pleasant, with an immaculate open kitchen where you can watch the cooks at work. Secondly, Mama Pho offers 16 recipes of the famous soup: Saigon style, Hanoi style, and many others... The most popular is Wagyu beef pho. You can also order several small complementary dishes, such as spring rolls, egg rolls... Finally, service is fast and friendly.

Since 1986, this small establishment near the citadel has been serving Hue's specialty: Bhan Khoai. These are small crunchy pancakes made of rice and cassava flour, filled with shrimps, pork and vegetables. Chillies and herbs are then added as desired. The homemade sauce, in which you dip your pancake, is made with a secret recipe that is the trademark of the restaurant. You can add to your meal egg rolls and grilled pork skewers. It's simply delicious and the locals flock there in numbers.

A pretty place in the city, which cultivates the atmosphere of the high plateaus, in a green setting. Coffee, fruit juice and some Vietnamese specialties. The building does not necessarily indicate the presence of a café, looking more like a house. The inscription of the café's name in ivy and the few tables laid out in the room open to the surrounding nature, however, indicate the opposite. A relaxing break in a unique place. Possibility on the spot to arrange accommodation for the night on request and to have information on the treks.

On the road between Hôi An and My Son, this truck stop offers a break in a very pleasant place to discover traditional Vietnamese architecture. Several houses have been reconstructed, which testify to the know-how of carpenters and woodcarvers. Possibility to have lunch with excellent regional specialties. The stopover is often on the program of the circuits which go from Hôi An to the site of My Son. Atmosphere without fuss and friendly. Generous portions and excellent value for money.

An excellent little boui-boui that has become an institution. Operating since 1991, it serves specialties from Hué, the former imperial capital. Located in a small alley near the Ben Thành market, close to the Bep Me In restaurant, it offers a pleasant, compact setting, with wooden furniture and pleasant background music. Try the crab soup (Bun Cha Cua) and the small steamed rice paste pancakes. The dishes are adapted to Western palates and are not spicy. A good option for a snack at lunchtime.

Tam's Pub is a Dà Nang institution. An excellent address for surf enthusiasts (best season for waves: October to February): information, tips and board rentals. It also serves excellent Vietnamese cuisine at moderate prices, generous burgers and refreshing fruit juices. A glass of local beer is also a welcome stop-off. Recommended by Le Petit Futé, it's a good starting point for organizing excursions in the region.

The restaurant opened in 2013, but quickly earned an excellent reputation. Familiar and tasty Vietnamese cuisine at low prices. The favourite canteen of many visitors to Dà Lat who return again and again. On the menu, chicken with mango, pumpkin soup, chicken curry in its coconut milk, deliciously spicy, but also an excellent shrimp soup, nice broths, there is something for everyone. The restaurant being recent, the decoration is nicely thought out, as well as the dishes are neat.

"Faifo" is a contraction of Hôi An Pho ("the city of Hôi An"). The historic setting of an old house, tastefully decorated with ceramics and handicrafts, is the main attraction of this restaurant (formerly Ancient Faifo). Preferably chosen for dinner for its pleasant, old-fashioned atmosphere. The Vietnamese cuisine is good, perhaps too sophisticated for purists. Beware, however, as the bill can rise quite quickly. The establishment also organizes cooking classes. A good address.

Right in the heart of the historic district, this restaurant opened by two Frenchmen is proving a real hit with locals and travelers alike. The two-storey space is very cosy, and the welcome is warm. The menu includes duck confit, Toulouse sausage, duck breast, salads, excellent burgers, pizzas, pastas, croque-monsieur... The speciality of the place is the house cordon bleu. The dishes are generous and prepared with French cheeses (bleu, camembert, goat's cheese). Wines are also carefully selected. Recommended.

Hội An is renowned for having the best Banh Mi in the country. The reason? An ancient culinary tradition and excellent bread. While the nearby Banh Mi Phuong, recommended by Anthony Bourdain himself, gets all the plaudits, we prefer Madam Khanh's establishment because of small details. The special thing about this place is their delicious homemade sauce, which you can choose according to how spicy you like it. What's more, the waiting time here is shorter. Pleasant little room.

This establishment located in a nice old house offers a very good traditional Vietnamese gastronomy. The atmosphere of the place is pleasant, with wooden furniture and a neat decoration. A good place to taste local specialties. Many choices on the menu, don't hesitate to ask for advice from the waiters (who speak English). The star of the menu? The rice cooked in a small earthen pot(com dâp) which is broken with gaiety. This is quite folkloric but can also generate an unpleasant background noise for the guests.

Good and cheap popular cuisine. You can enjoy spicy catfish soup. The menu is very (too?) eclectic as it even offers ostrich steak, snake and crocodile. Vegetarians and vegans can rest assured that there are also menus to satisfy them. The quality of the dishes is nevertheless average. The establishment is mainly frequented by Western tourists. It is located near the pier. Reasonable prices and, bonus, the menu is translated into French which is quite practical!

Outside the tourist perimeter, in a residential area where many expatriates live, this establishment is a gastronomic nugget. Previously known as Le Toit gourmand, opened in 2004, it is one of Saigon's finest restaurants. Noble products such as truffles and foie gras, original recipes such as the famous "truffle brouillade" or "foie gras nem", homemade breads and cheeses. Great food, a wide and subtle selection of wines, this is sure to be a memorable dinner.

You will be able to taste the typical bun bo Hue, cha gio (fried egg rolls with chicken or pork), banh cuon thit nuong (spring rolls) and many other dishes from the central Vietnamese region. Run by a French-Vietnamese couple, the establishment also offers French and Mediterranean dishes. For wine lovers, the establishment also serves wine. To test also, the dishes "fusion food" such as the egg rolls with Camembert or the egg rolls tartiflette. The prices are really affordable, especially for the local specialties.

A few steps away from the Bitexco tower, Nhu Lan is a canteen-institution that is always full. Good popular Vietnamese food at very reasonable prices. Their excellent banh mi ham-pastry made the success of the establishment, but the menu has been greatly expanded: soups, chia gio, chicken, duck... The room is clean. English menu available. A part of the store proposes a range of products of the house: meats, sausages, cakes, dried fruits... Typical of Asian street-food. A good choice at lunch time.

Restaurant located near the cathedral, in a very pleasant setting: brick walls repainted with a rural scene borrowed from the iconography of propaganda posters. This establishment serves Vietnamese bistro cuisine: spring rolls, duck curry, organic black rice salad... It is excellent, fresh and tasty. Vegetarians will also find their happiness here. It is a pity that the price of drinks is so high.

Excellent restaurant with a superb large terrace on the river. Carefully prepared Vietnamese cuisine offering all the specialities of the region (the chef worked in the kitchens of the 4-star Victoria Hoi An hotel). Impeccable service and reasonable prices for quality. In addition, it is an opportunity for a good deed, as part of the school's profits finance a catering school for underprivileged young people. Downside: the restaurant welcomes many groups.

A good Indian restaurant installed here, faithful to the history and tradition of Hôi An, maritime crossroads of Southeast Asia. On the menu: specialties from all regions of India, unfortunately not very spicy in order to satisfy both local and western palates. We particularly recommend the shrimp curry with mango. Mixed clientele between Vietnamese, Indians and Westerners, with business clientele without the atmosphere becoming pretentious. Samosas, paneer pakoras (cheese fritters) and tandoori chicken.

New French cuisine, beautiful plates and bistronomic flavours. The decor is magnificent, it must be said, worthy of the most chic European baroque salons. Period atmosphere with fireplace and jazzy piano accompaniment for dinner. For a meal with cachet, this is the place to go. To spoil nothing, pleasant view of the lake. Beautiful terrace all in length where you can sit in comfortable armchairs and enjoy the view of the lake.

Nestled in a small alleyway, this establishment is worth a visit for its cheerful, colorful atmosphere and, above all, for the authentic, excellent Mexican cuisine it serves. On the menu: nachos, tortillas, guacamole, ceviche, patatas, fajitas, burritos and also quinoa salads, multiple variations of tacos and chilis... not forgetting the desserts! A special treat is cinnamon rice pudding. And, of course, tequila... All dishes that bear witness to the fact that Vietnam is a fully-fledged globalized country.

Great family restaurant and popular. A la bonne franquette, but an excellent choice for fresh and varied seafood presented on the stalls. The clientele chooses, asks about the species, not always identifiable... The facility hosted U.S. President G. W. Bush during his visit to Vietnam in November 2006. The Vietnamese cuisine - including Hue specialties - is excellent. It offers the perfect opportunity to take a gastronomic break from the hustle and bustle of the floating market. The setting is absolutely superb, serving fine Vietnamese cuisine. Le Longanier is managed by the Victoria Hotels chain. It also organizes cruises in the delta aboard traditional boats.

The Corto is named after Hugo Pratt's sailor. Very pleasant decoration with a neo-industrial style in chiaroscuro, softened by bright and warm colours that give an atmosphere of intimacy. Excellent French cuisine, tasty, generous and refined, based on carefully selected ingredients. Another remarkable point is the prices, which, for an establishment of this quality, are very reasonable. In September 2016, Le Corto and its black cat welcomed President F. Holland during his official visit to Vietnam.

This restaurant, run by a starred chef, offers high quality Japanese cuisine in a sober and elegant setting. Be careful though, it is a creative and innovative cuisine, combining original flavors and offering a real culinary adventure. Some people love it, others like it less. The products used are of excellent quality. The sashimi and sushi are very popular with customers. Various carefully prepared menus are offered. You will be offered a wine adapted to the dishes you wish to taste. A culinary journey.

French-speaking address. Tropical mini-golf Mui Né is an 18-hole mini-golf course on a secure 3,000 m² site in the heart of Mui Né, shaded by 42 coconut trees. Peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. There's an excellent restaurant serving local and, above all, French-inspired European cuisine: fondue bourguignonne, pierrades and daily specials. The bar and garden welcome you with a French wine list and a choice of classic or "made-to-measure" cocktails. One of Mui Né's best addresses.

Chic setting in an Art Deco villa for this restaurant whose owner wanted to bring the Buddha Bar from Paris to Hanoi. Good cuisine even if it lacks inspiration, with Vietnamese and Asian dishes and a European touch. You can choose between soups, grilled meats, etc. Popular with business customers. An address to frequent rather for dinner or to enjoy the setting and have a drink upstairs in cosy sofas.

In a house of colonial architecture, a sober and pleasant setting to taste authentic Vietnamese cuisine. On the menu: vermicelli soup, plate of appetizers, grilled pork on sesame cakes, shrimp fritters... In particular, the delicious specialties of Huê, fine and perfumed. Some French dishes also with the mushroom and snail puff pastry or the Provencal salad. Desserts have the temptation of the West: ice creams and macaroons. Terrace. Recommended address. Embarkation point for Emerald Cruises. Very pleasant coffee, which allows you to wait before boarding for a cruise in the bay. Pastries, or more substantial foods, but also picnic baskets to take on the water. Also wi-fi.

Located in the elegant setting of the Sofitel Metropole, the Club Bar is a chic establishment with an enchanting décor. On the menu are French specialties (oysters, onion soup, grilled beef, lobster...), homemade pasta, Vietnamese specialties as well as burgers and sandwiches. The place is also ideal to sip an excellent cocktail while listening to soft jazz music, live from Thursday to Sunday from 7pm. Warmly recommended.

A bar, café and restaurant, the circle attracts travelers not only for daytime drinks, but above all for its original burgers. The specialty is the Juicy Lucy, a recipe from Minneapolis: a burger with meat stuffed with cheese. Surprisingly delicious! Also on the menu: avocado salads, Vietnamese dishes, tacos, quesadillas, hot dogs... Daily suggestions are noted on the slates. Also craft beers and cocktails. A friendly place to be at any time of day.

Excellent little Japanese restaurant. And yet, the management and the cooks are Vietnamese....Seafood of high quality, fresh and tasty. To be recommended to all fish lovers. A wide choice of sushi and sashimi, prepared according to tradition, before your eyes, if you choose one of the places at the counter. The establishment is very popular and the strong presence of Japanese customers is a clear sign. Finally, the restaurant offers particularly moderate prices given the quality of the products on offer.

Authentic and delicious Indian cuisine. Opened in July 2011, the restaurant is popular with customers, although the setting, with its kitschy airport lobby feel, lacks charm and personality. It offers a wide variety of specialities from northern and southern India. The traditional tandoor produces delicious naan. Indian travellers passing through Hanoi find themselves in great numbers in the establishment and are full of praise for the cuisine. Pretty good sign.... Attentive and discreet service that can even be French-speaking.

Specialities of grilled meats (beef, goat, pork). Very friendly and popular.

The prey wait in their fish tank and fear the order. Be careful to negotiate the price of this big-game fishing, as sincere or simulated misunderstandings can turn the customer into a hostage. There is a free place in the fish tank... Make sure that the chosen animal is the one presented on the plate.
